Enterprise 18 Feb 03

I also was wondering what was up with Zefram being a mut like he was. Sounds like they are setting something up for later episodes.

I don't think that was Zefram they found in the future ship. Maybe I missed a scene where they said that, but I remember them saying that the guy didn't match any starfleet DNA records, and that they sent for DNA info from Cochran's family, but hey look at this, this guy has human, vulcan, etc etc DNA, he can't be Cochran.

Yup. No continuity errors this time. It was assumed by Archer that it might have been Cochran but turned out to not be him. I can just see the writers in their little room having a laugh as they wrote it knowing that ST purists would be frothing at the mouth as they heard Archer make the assumption. :D

I'm still not a fan of the TCW but I think they are too far down that path to completely rescind the arc. I'm glad they handled it fairly well in this episode, and also glad they brought in the Tholians (who, btw, were cutting through the launch bay doors but may have just been doing it to tractor the future ship and not to board the Enterprise).

More later but doesn't T'Pol seem to show a lot of "stress" in her voice in difficult situations...? ;)

Enterprise is on UPN Satrudays at 6pm EST. Same episode as Wednesday past.

I will have to watch it again this Saturday. Your right Mark he had at first assumed that the body was Zef because Zef had gone wandering through the galaxy (Archer mentioned this).
Yes T'Poll is rather emotional for a Vulcan and I like that Archer teases her in this episode.

I really liked this ep. As for T'Pol not believing in time travel and deferring to logic, I think that she puts on a good front. She trusts Archer and while she may not agree with him on the issue but then again Scully never believed much of what Mudler said either. Even when presented with decent evidence. I think it makes for an interesting relationship between the 2. When it is proven to T'Pol that it is possible, that should make for a fine moment.

As for the ep itself, I liked it alot. Never a dull moment and even though it was slightly predictable, I didn't want it to end because I was very entertained. The time-hiccups were interesting and I'm glad that they weren't used a loophole to save Enterprise. The TCW is starting to work for me. As long as they keep it consistant and it works within the fabric of the show rather than superceeds it, I'm happy.

I thought the episode was pretty good myself, but overall I am still not really satisfied with Enterprise as a whole. Something seems to be missing, but I just can't put my finger on what.

I'm with Silver Moon here. For some reason this 2nd season just doesn't seem as up to par as the 1st. This most recent offering was pretty good but, I suspect, if Tholians had not been involved I would have thought differently. I DO like that everything isn't wrapped up at the end of the ep. Leave us wanting more...wanting to know just what the heck is going on. That'll bring me back for more.

Hmmm...that's a good comparison. I didn't think about it in that way. From this episode can we surmise there are at least three factions in the TCW? One with the Sulibans, one with the Tholians and a third unrevealed faction that transported the ship et. al?

The time-hiccups were interesting and I'm glad that they weren't used a loophole to save Enterprise.

I thought so too. Although "time loops" have been used before, I thought they were well inserted into this episode. I also am glad they were not used as a "dues ex machina" (sp?).

I am not quite there yet with the TCW. For me, they need more shows like the replicating space station episode or like the episode last week. There is still much room to grow and I haven't written off the series by a long shot. It has been entertaining more times than not for me.

I have put off reading this as much as possible ... b/c I have to wait until sunday @ 6p eastern to watch this episode.

*wolf hopes he doesn't forget to set VCR*

I think this is the attittude that I am going to adopt. :)

I'll try to catch this ep again on Sunday night, also, but in the meantime I was wondering about that "How many factions.." thing that myrdden brought up. It seems to me that the Federation of the future is at least one faction in all of this. Hasn't that been established by what's-his-name-future-guy? :)
