Enterprise: Does anybody else feel...?

It's not. It's an ENTERPRISE theme music. Why do you think they drop Star Trek from its title? Everything in that show is before the Federation, when Starfleet was a fledgling Earth-based organization.

If you think that TOS is the "Wild West" version of Star Trek, then ENT is the "Dark Age" version.

Personally, I like the rock tone of the music. It is Earth-based rather than being part of something larger, like the soon-to-be Unifted Federation of Planets. Plus, Rock-n-Roll have always been criticized as rebel music, not as sophisticated as Jazz or Classical. It's about time Rock-n-Roll get some more exposure in Trek despite Star Trek IV (punk rock music on the bus) and Star Trek: First Contact (50's hillbilly rock music in the jukebox).

The absolute last thing I think of when I hear the Enterprise theme is rock-n-roll and rebellion. Maybe if they find a better, harder rock theme next season.:)

Like "I Want To Rock & Roll" by KISS? :p

Or "Thriller" by Michael Jackson? Whoo!
Woo! Good ideas! Other possibilities. Earth Girls are Easy, by Julie Brown. Pretty Fly (For a White Guy) by Offspring. Hmm..actually, I could tolerate Fly Away from Aerosmith way more than the current theme.

And beyond any doubt, if they ever go through with that Klingon series, the theme should be sung by Rammstein.;)

Piffle. Aerosmith woudn't be bad, but honestly if you feel a need to switch to some other theme, and want a rock tune, do it right. ZZ Top,"La Grange".

It's funny 'Rock and Roll All Nite" by KISS should come up, because Dianne Warren, who wrote the lyrics for "Faith of the Heart/Where My Heart Will Take Me/Enterprise Theme" (and yes, it actually has been recorded three times by Russell Watson (the singer) under three different titles) actually wrote some KISS songs throughout the 80's, and one in the late 90's that was the closing theme of the movie Detroit Rock City. There's a piece of trivia for you :)
