Enterprise Inconsistancy?

First Post
Alright,

I'm a fan of Star Trek so I've been watching the new enterprise show off and on for awhile now. While watching the last episode (which was actually pretty good) I heard the trailer for next weeks episode.

THE BORG?!?!

oh my, what were they thinking...

If you didn't catch it, enterprise has an encounter with the borg...

...even though the borg weren't discovered until Q tossed the Enterprise C into the Delta (?) Quadrant.

Argh, this annoys me to no end

alright :rant mode = off:

IIRC, these are the borg who were left behind in Star Trek: First Contact.

They have actually contradicted this before, in Voyager, as 7-of-9's parents the Hansons were anthropologists studying the Borg a good decade before the Enterprise's encounter with them.

This is exactly why they introduced the idea of a "Temporal Cold War," so they could fool around with continuity.

And I really didn't like the Hansens before Picard meeting the Borg, but remember when they found those colonies completely stripped of everything, as if they just were "scooped up"?

If this were true you can say bye-bye enterprise! The borg from the future would wipe the floor with the enterprise!!

I thought it took place after (during the time when Enterprise-D encountered a Borg named Hugh). They explained Annika Hansen's adult age due to her time spent in a rapid maturation chamber.

Actually, if I remember correctly from the Star Trek site, there will only initially be two drones that survived from the Borg timeship that Picard's Enterprise blew up in the past (during Zephrym Cochrane's time). These two drones are found in the arctic (kind of like "The Thing") and start rebuilding what's left of their ship. Plus, for all I know, assimilating humans. But it should be Archer's Enterprise vs. a very small number of Borg -- it's not like they'll be fighting off a whole Borg cube or anything.

But even 2 borg could be devastating! Think about it, one of them gets shot with a phase pistol. That's it, game over for the federation because the other one is now immune to their weapons!
