1/2elf.druid(4) - hard to tell (nice and cudly, wants to heal the world)

Various other (on and off: 7th sea, deadlands, CoC, ...)

My favourite? It's between these 2
- Finn O'Conner: (7th Sea) Old retired Irish fisherman, likes his boose and care's a lot for the tradition of the 'friendly fight'. the kind of character with no specific qualifications/skills beyond his sailing/fishing carreer, but the kinda guy nobody notices, that blends in everywhere and catches all kinds of rumors and conversations

- Yoshi Lau Hu: (ADnD/FR) Being trained as a fighting-monk, but kicked out of the monastery for being to showy/superior (kinda like shoalin: instead of passing the exam and getting the brandmarks of the school, some weeks before the exam I have the marks tatoed on my arms and show of to my palls in the village how I'm a fighting monk). Join my father (a traveling herbalist healer) who's tracking with his family in a wagon through the dalelands to heal wherever needed. Though I still prefer to use a quarterstaff whenever appropriate, I start to pick up the western style of fighting, choosing the bastard blade for my secondary weapon. I soon leave my parents wagon to travel the realms on my own as mercenary, paying for food and shelter by teaching the use of the quarterstaff or hiring my sword out to the highest bidder.

Oh, and my favorite background: my current bard: At age 18 my father (who's a well known bard in Gwyneth) asks me what I want to do. I reply: to follow in your steps. He answers: you've heard me plying my trade for 18 years now, since you were born. I can teach you no more. Go travel the world and return when you have something to teach me.

*The human fighter with the fullblade has decided not to play

Here's the group (as of last night) that I DM:
Golgo (Human Ranger) - magical longsword and magical dagger or longbow
Tyrant (Human Fighter) - magical longsword ("Retribution") and magical buckler ("Scorn" -- these 2 weapons are actually a set) or strength shortbow or flaming oil (he's something of a pyromaniac)
Beldcatt (Gnome Rogue/Sorcerer) - dagger or heavy crossbow or wit and charm
Momo (Human Bard/Druid) - magical shortspear ("Kneebiter")
Calisarae (Elven Fighter/Duellist) - Rapier and dagger or masterwork longbow
Mur'togk (Half-orc barbarian (deceased)) - flaming orc double axe ("Infernal Rage")
Brother Vladamir (Human monk) - fists
Banard (Human cleric/war priest) - magical greatsword ("Stormclaw")
Atalaina (Human fighter) - magical morningstar ("Death's head)

There's also 2 NPCs and a wolf which I won't bother with ...

Here is the group that I DM in FR:

Wood Elf Ranger 7 - +1 Mighty Composite Longbow [+2]
Shield Dwarf Fighter 7 - +1 Shocking Dwarven Waraxe
Gold Elf Diviner 7 - magic
Drow Rogue 6 (reincarnated into this form from a human body) - +1 Keen Rapier
Volodni Druid 5 - Masterwork Bluewood Spear (used in a magic glove that bestows both the throwing and returning properties to it)

As for my favorite character, its the one that I am using in my friends FR campaign. He is a fighter/rogue who dual wields cutlasses, enjoys the finer things in life (ie. women, tobacco and wine) and is pursuing a career in bardic lore.

3. What is/was your favorite character (and the weapon they used) in 3.0/3.5 D&D?

The dwarf bard above is a remake of a 3.0 character, but they've ended up turning out completely differently. The 3.0 bard used a dwarven waraxe.

In 3.0, I had a really awesome cleric of Boccob. I don't remember what weapon she used though.

Thanks for the input.[/QUOTE]

In Forgotten Realms.

1. Human Bard/Apostle of Peace, Human Druid, Human Sorcerer, Human Fighter and Half-Elf Ranger.

2. In same order as in 1: None, Scimitar, Cold Iron Frying pan, Greatsword and Longsword + Shortsword.

3. Athomlarion Neuklartomboom of Silverymoon, after he introduced himself he usually said "But just call me Athom." (He was in another party.) Moon Elf Bard with rapier. Man he was fun to play.

Current D&D Game:

One Rapier-wielding Elf Wizard
One Scythe-wielding Human Fighter
One quarterstaff-using Human Druid
One Short Sword Wielding Halfling Rogue

All are 2nd level.

Campaign I play in (6/7th level party)

Half-elf wizard (me) with +1 quarterstaff
Dwarven Fighter/Rogue with magic dagger
Dwarven Fighter (brother of above Dwarf) with "IceSword"
Half-orc Barbarian with greataxe
Human paladin with greatsword
Human cleric with...can't recall her weapon
Elven cleric with magic mace

Campaign I DM (4th level):

Human Paladin with greatsword
Halfling Ranger/Rogue with light mace
Human Sorceress with crossbow
Elven cleric with shortbow or longsword
Human monk unarmed
Human Druid with Scimitar
Human fighter with Orc double-axe
Human Bard with rapier

As for my favorite 3.0/3.5 character, the above listed wizard is the only one I've played under 3.0 (we have not converted to 3.5 yet), so by default he is my favorite.
