I also remember those good old days.
I always was looking for more combat examples.
I remember the sadness when Eric Noah transferred the site to morrus.
So i`m lurking now since almost the very beginning and it has been a good time. I feel old.

Ah, the days of yore, reading combat examples pitting Tordek against two tyrantfog zombies, Krusk (or was it still Imsh?) against the evil wizard, and Ember against three halfling rogues.

I still think the Tordek clip was one of the best play examples I've ever seen. It was just really cool! Especially where he realized he couldn't hurt the things, and went grabbing for the axe....

I honestly don't think that I've been this excited about internet news since I stumbled onto Eric's site. And there almost hasn't been a day that's gone by that I haven't checked the news/boards in whatever incarnation it was in at the time.

Ah I remember joyously those days when you could get an e-mail replied personally by Ryan Dancey or Eric Noah...

He he, When Eric posted that he had received his PHB I wrote him asking if DEX still helped minimizing the penalties for daul wielding...

AND HE ANSWERED!!

And so did Ryan Dancey, pre-release, when I asked about what replaced THACO.

"In 3e there is something called Base Attack Bonus, gained by level, that adds to your roll to hit the AC"

I ran a game based only on the scoops provided on Eric´s... That was great...

Sigh, I feel old too

I remember re-loading the page every morning and every afternoon. I was still in Nantes (France), finishing my last year to have the Engineer degree. I was making my graduation thesis work, but I passed most of my days in the net, looking for info about the new AD&D (becaus eto me it was AD&D, D&D only sounded bad to me)...
