Do you think that it could be generalized? I mean, if a DC 100 skill check allows X, then a character can do X with the appropriate feat and a round to prepare himself? The feat will have prerequisites of 24 ranks in another skill, and would also allow a DC 30 check (in the first skill) to ignore the need for a round of preparation.

You could walk on water (or clouds) with 24 ranks of concentration, and stuff like that.

What else do high level skill checks get you?

As for my reasoning, I did it because the only way to negate falling damage is with a DC 100 tumble check, which is really only usefull for 3 or 4 main classes. And the classes that are I think fits better with the slamming to earth and messing people's stuff up have no CHANCE of making that roll. But it makes less sense for them to take more damage than the scrawny little rogue.

As for the other DC 100 epic checks,

Balance on a liquid : 90
Balance on a cloud: 120
Bluff your surface thoughts: 100
Climb a perfectly smooth overhand or vertical surface: 100
Turn unfriendly or hostile characters into fanatics for you : 120 or 150
Disable a device as a free action: Adds 100 to the check
Escape artist through a Wall of Force: 120
Train a creature quickly: varies
Perfect recovery Healing: 100
Detect Surface Thoughts: 100
Find another location from a single viewing or description only: 100 or 120
Tumble to ignore all falling damage: 100 (already done)


Now that I think about it, maybe a feat to allow someone with gobs of tumble ranks to tumble across a lake surface, or cloud?
 


Well, by already done, I mean, already done by me.

And while it could be done with a 24 tumble, it makes less sense to me. The jump thing is really aimed with the tank classes in mind, more than anything else.
