Epic Level - Advanced Beings AKA Dark Sun?

Because I am a keen fan of Dark Sun, I would be interested in whether the Epic Level rulebook will also support beyond 20th level advancement Dark Sun style - by turning into advanced beings, such as Dragons. I believe that was an excellent system.

That was very cool. I doubt, however, that those rules will make it into the book. I'd also doubt whether anyone even proposed to do them. Here's to hoping I'm wrong.

Well, my hope is based on the fact that the PHB mentions that monk turns into an outsider at 20th level. That is a similar concept to advanced beings, so I wondered whether they will follow up on it and allow this for other characters too - DARK SUN style! :D :D :D

What's an 'odea?'

I've been wondering this myself or at least giving a good idea on how to do it yourself.

I think special prestige classes might work. This would be for sticking to the basic way the were in 2e (20th level Psi, and 20th level Clr/Wiz). This would require a character being very high level, but considering what they are it may not be such a big deal.

I don't think Dark Sun will be directly supported in the Epic Level book. However, there wil be rules for psionic characters beyond 20th level. This may help.
