Epic Save From Fall

Until, of course, someone points out that Otiluke's Resilient Sphere is a single-target power, so in by-the-book 4e, it couldn't have saved the whole party. Alas, we need to find our counterarguments elsewhere ^.^;
Well, if 4e weren't so much like a videogame the item wouldn't have had that limitation and it would have worked just fine...

Except in earlier editions Spells and items specified valid targets as well. If this was 3rd ed game and the Wizard used a ring of feather fall, you would have to take just as many liberties with the rules to allow it to affect his friends.

Check out my earlier post SabreCat was responding on-- this was sarcasm building in the same direction. Probably should have included more emoticons.

Well, it did save the whole party of 3 because they squeezed in the wizard's square in mid-air.
