Episode III Rocked!!!

No spoilers here. Just got back from the midnight viewing of Episode III and it was very well done. I won't dispense with details, but there were a few bits that did bother me, and some resolutions were kinda like little band aids covering gaping wounds. All in all though, the acting was superb, the movie was dark, and the action intense. I only wish it was about 40 minutes longer and they went more into some of the various scenes as some of it seemed glazed over which sucked, because there was a lot of interesting stuff going on. Lucas did himself well in restoring the faith in Star Wars. I'm really glad it was as good as it was. Now I just need to see it again...

It was pretty darn good. Definitely better than the first two.
The Anakin/Padme romantic dialogue was the only thing that was slightly cringe-worthy and thankfully that was kept to a necessary minimum. I'll see it among an actual audience on Friday. It will be interesting to see the crowd's reactions.

Did anyone else thing Utapau was inspired by the Dragonriders of Pern? My friend and I both thought so.

There were a few bleh parts. but the times Anakin / Vader was proving how evil he became were all supurb and delicously not for the squeemish.

I'm still 8 hours away from seeing EpIII, and this won't make it easier to wait... :\
But that's not your fault, it's mine - I could've seen the movie 12 hours ago, but a few weeks ago I thought that one day more or less would hardly matter. Man, was I wrong...

My review is in another thread but I'll say it here: DAMN!!!! That was just simply awesome for so many reasons. It wasn't perfect but damn, what a way to end things. I need to see it again very soon. There was so much going on that I missed things. It'll be great to have all of them on DVD to have a marathon...

Ep.III was downright Shakespearean. Un-fricken-believably good.

A few bumps, like which mom was Leia remembering brushing her hair? I could say that Organa'a first wife also died young and was the one of Leia's memory, or even better, Padme's force ghost looked over the child.
