Errata I noticed

First Post
PHB 238, Halt Undead
The description says "creature immobile for the duration of the spell (similar to the effects of a Hold Person on a living creature)." Hold Person (PHB 241) now gives a save "each round on its turn". This looks like a 3.0 holdover.

PHB 314, surprise
surprise is described as "... each take a partial action during the surprise round." It should be a standard action.

DMG 177, Arcane Trickster
The Arcane Trickster skill list says "Knowledge(Int)", when it should say "Knowledge(all skills, taken individually)(Int)"

DMG 184, Dragon Disciple
Breath weapon described in 3.0 terms, as 5'x5'x60', not a 60 ft. line.

DMG 251, Carpet of Flying 6'x9'
The carpet in this table was from 3.0. It has no 3.5 equivalent or entry.

I reported these to Kim Mohan.

Do these below seem like errata to you? If they do, I'll email them to him tomorrow. I don't have my book with me, so these are not as polished as the errata above.

DMG ???, Intelligent Items and random weapons
The description of intelligent magic items changed in 3.5, yet the roll for random magic weapons still use a 3.0 version, with far more than a 1% chance of intelligence.

DMG 262, Maul of the Titans
Should be listed as Huge, like Mattock above.

DMG 302, darkness entry
Lists Ranger Favored Enemy as "precision damage" like sneak. This was 3.0. It should be unaffected by darkness.

I hope these help. They are minor, I know, but it's hard to discern between a change of 3.0 and a mistake in 3.5. For example, did they mean to remove Everburning Torches? Should the Int-based non-spell preparation assassins be Cha-based? Should druids be able to use metamagic feats with their spontaneous casting?

Perhaps, but if they are attacked or take damage, the spell effect ends. This is not like Hold Person. Plus, you cannot crit them or CDG them.

See PH, page 128, Special Substances and Items.

Yes, they should be Charisma based just like sorcerers and bards.

Should druids be able to use metamagic feats with their spontaneous casting?
Are they forbidden in the rules? I certainly see no reason why they cannot do this in the same way a cleric can when he spontaneously casts cure spells.

I'm not sure if it is errata, but the DR is wierd.

Demons and Devils have DR #/good (and possibly a material).

Half-fiends and Fiendish creatures have DR #/magic.

Huh? Shouldn't the Half-fiends and Fiendish creatures be affected by the weapons that affect Demons and Devils?

Likewise, Celestials have DR #/evil, but half-celestials and celestial creatures have DR #/magic.

If you are using a magic weapon, it probably doesn't make a difference.

But, imagine a Demon that wants to use his claws. His claws work great on a Celestial, but he can't get through the Half-Celestial's DR? huh???

Cant get through it per se, but most demons will be able to deal enough damage to go "over it" that it wont really matter.
