ET Helper + patch = ?

I don't actually own E-Tools, so Im asking more out of curiosity than anything else:

Does having E-Tools Helper already loaded interfere with the application/running of the beta patch? What about possible problems with the final version? Im sure that thats what customer service reps would want you to think, since being told that tinkering with programs like such somehow eliminates their entire ability to help us at all.

ET Helper does not hinder eTools at all.

Prepatch, the only thing ET Helper can do is import and export custom items you have made.

Postpatch, ET Helper can also edit and add classes.

Davin, the creator of ET Helper is really good at supporting that add-on.

Nope. At worst it's no worse than using Access to get at the database directly (and it's usually much better since it prevents you from doing the nastiest things to it).

But anytime you have a software problem, back up your modified database and restore the original (you did keep an original backup, didn't you??) and see if you can replicate it then. If so, then tech support has nothing to complain about.
