Everyone have the new Dragon?

Got my issue of Dragon today ... gotta say, some of the info is really good :) But I did have a few problems:
1) Class Acts. I like the article ... but a Class Acts article for every class right in a row? That seems a little overkill, don't you think?
2) The Samurai vs. Knight bit. It was okay ... but I didn't really get much out of it that I couldn't have found in other books that I have.
3) The comics. Ugh ... right in the middle?
4) The Graphic Design. This was my biggest problem in the entire magazine. Speaking as a designer myself, pgs. 78-110 have some serious design flaws, especially in regards to the titles ... "Treasures of the Dwarven Holds" is the worse (Why take up an entire page with a title practically?) I was very disappointed with this, as Dragon has always been a well designed magazine and this just seems like a serious downgrade IMHO.
On the good side though, I liked this month's Silicon Sorcery and the stuff on Demon Stone ... and, though I didn't care for the Samurai vs. Knight bit, the design was good :) I also liked the inclusion of the Cyclops race ... will this be a regular feature? I sure hope so :)
If I had to grade it, I'd give it a C ... if the design was better, I'd grade it higher :)

Any update on this? Have the subscribers issues begun showing up yet? I'll wait a few days more before emailing Customer Service.

Mine arrived in the mail today (slightly water-damaged), although Books-A-Million didn't have them in yet as of two days ago, even though they've had the new Dungeon in for at least a week.

As for the contents.... every time Dragon does a make-over or "very special" issue I wind up asking myself why exactly I keep my subscription going. This was not an exception. But that's probably a topic for another thread. (Though I will gripe about their GenCon recap which managed to arrive before GenCon even starts. C'Mon Dragon, you're totally ruining my suspension of disbelief here....)

Well - some of you got it from the FLGS.

Rather than complain about the late delivery (not saying that isn't complaint worthy, but I think we got the point)...

What's the news on the new Dragon?

I got to admit, I'm in the opposite camp. I find little reason to buy Dragon and precious little within it to cause me to buy it.

So I rarely do.

Dungeon, on the other hand, was always a great deal and I bought it faithfully and still do. With moving the DM stuff out of Dragon andintio Dungeon, I couldn't be more happy. The few articles of interest to me in Dragon are now where I want em. :)

So - what's the word on Dragon Unleashed?
Contents and more were posted in this thread

Still waiting on mine, hoping that the recent wave of subscription copies makes it to my neighborhood soon.

Picked up Dungeon 114 and I'm liking it, my Dragon is up for renewal in October and at that point I will decide whether to subscribe to both.

Do not renew. Award bad service and maybe they will get the hint. I will buy my from the FLGS because they were getting two weeks before me anyway.

Oddly enough, this is the first time mine has been this late. Maybe mine had to come later to even up the karma from others arriving earlier than usual.

Honestly, I'm really not that concerned by a magazine arriving a little late, as long as the quality is good. Whenever it gets here, I'm going to have it for the rest of my life, or at least for as long as I want it.

Plus, it is cheaper to subscribe, and a nice man in a little white jeep brings it to the box at the end of my driveway, rather than me having to go get it.

I got mine a few days ago, and I have to admit that I find the tardiness only slightly annoying. I'm usually patient and I think that delivery time is getting better (for me at least) than in previous months.

As for the new format and articles....I think I like the articles in Dungeon more overall, but from the teasers, the next issue of Dragon may be better. My favorite article in Dragon was on the cyclops race, something I might use in a new campaign world. The rest of the articles were sort of bland.

I have to say, the new title font really just jumps off the newstand, slaps you in the face, & says... *yawn*

Good grief, what were they thinking? Why not just go with Times New Roman if humdrum was the goal?

Still don't have it...though I really shouldn't be surprised, this type of poor service seems to be par for the course from Paizo.
