Exalted 2nd Edition Game

Figgin

I was planning on giving him a different name and modifying his background some after I get a chance to browse through the rule book. Though if we run into a time crunch I can run him as is.

As far as giving him an artifact now or getting one in game, at this point I don't have a preference.

Hm, you are correct, the spelling is Bodhisattva, although you must admit it's a pretty easy word to get wrong. Fifth, as I had thought him up, would have Flametongue (Native), Old Realm (dealing with Spirits), Riverspeak (Sorta gneral tradespeak, plus he's close-ish to the Scavenger Lands), and one more, either Low Realm or the language of wherever we're going to be playing. Also, though Fifth has great love and respect for his country (as reflected by the Intimacy), he is not truly welcome there, and, in any case, his quest for realigning Heaven is more important to him than his country. Plus, the Wyld could have left him just about anywhere, after so much time. Waypoints change location with frequency, and his Exaltation could've really happened in any corner of the world. He can fit nearly anywhere... after all, his greatest secondary theme is travelling.

As for knowing the other characters, it's possible, though personally I would like to play out his joining the Circle. It's no problem if you want everyone to know each other for purposes of streamlining everything, though. Fifth is relatively trusting of other Solars, as he considers them potential allies (after all, his goal is for the betterment of all Solars, even though his reasons for it are personal), so it'll be pretty plausible for him to team up.

About the Lunar... I dunno, I guess if he really does have an amazing concept and it seems like it'll be fun ahving him in the game, then yes, but we do have a Perfect Circle here. I'd actually prefer another Solar, as a Lunar has a high possiblity of either becoming "that other Lunar" and not really being special enough, or forcing you to throw in challenges that should be solved by shapeshifting, which means the rest of us don't have much to do. Your decision, though, I certainly won't complain whatever you do.

For the languages, it will be High and Old Realm. I might remove that Awarness dot to put it in Lingustics if I need to speak another language, so not much problem there.

For the location, I have no problem with anywhere, but starting o the Blessed Island might be a problem for my character and probably try to avoid it, but except that, he could be anywhere. After all, his mentor adviced him to find his circle, and that mean he can have travel around the world to find them.

For how we met, first, we shoudl know where we start. Most likely we will met each other near were we will be playing.

For the extra player. I don't mind, but if you wnat him to fit well, I suggest him to be Solar Bound to one player, to explain why he stick with us. For the role in the group, I must tell we seems well fit into figther, Fifth Bodhisstava seems to defend well himself into survival, so most likely, he could be usefull for infiltration, but all depend of our Night Caste... in other words, I don't feel like there is a gap to fill, but with a good idea, it might be interesting.

I went back and edited my old post so that people could more easily find any post that was to them a bit more easily. I firgure it will help our Night Caste find any important posts.

[sblock=Valmont]Yeah you might want to change up the Awareness for another point of Ling. I'd hate for to unable to speak with the rest of the group.[/sblock]

[sblock=Macguffin]meeting the party in game is fine with me. These type games are as fast moving as dnd, the characters and interactions are more important. so i'm in no rush[/sblock]

[sblock=Dogma]Whatever you want to do with him is fine with me.[/sblock]

Ack. I'll amend the sheet on Agg Soak. Skies has started basically wandering now, so he could be anywhere. I'm thinking he could pick up a disciple along the way, if we're running the heroic mortal arc. Other than that, Skies could show up anywhere, Shaolin Fighting Monk that he is.

As far as the lunar goes, it could get a bit tricky. We already have a perfect circle, and that's nasty enough for a ST to handle. Few antagonists would be tough for a perfect circle to handle. Depending on the type of Lunar, we could end up having to beat up experienced immaculates from the get-go.

Bah, accuracy aren't the only things that matter in combat. You can have more dices from stunts, charms (many have at least on excellency in combat), and seldom, teh bets way to beat an opponent, it is not in combat, but I think we will defend well ourselves against a good foe.

I found this really impressive map of Creation. i wanted to post it up, but it's just too big to post without messing up all the format. Here's a link to it though

Map of Creation

I've got to go into work for the rest of the day, but I'm getting closer to being ready for us to start. Still waiting to see how our Night turns out. I'm hoping to start up next week with some Prelude and Solo story stuff. Hopefully by the time we need to have everyone in the same room, all characters will be ready to go.

Oh i went ahead and told the Lunar that I think we'll be better off just with five players. i think the group is turning out fine, but we do have a lot of different people and goals to work in. Let me know now if there are places or people you definately do want in the game, and if there is stuff you do not want. i can't promise that i can get everyone everthinig, but i can work towards it.

I'm just wondering if planning is still going for this game? I had a concept for a Heroic Mortal martial artist who seeks out Exalts to train him, but I have never played Exalted before so don't know how well this would fit in. I've read most of the core (2E), and most ot the SotM.

If there is any way such a character would fit with your group, then I'd love to take the time to fully flesh him out and fit him in with the rest of the group.
