There is a good bit more in the cosmology than in the mechanics imo. Granted, they are really riffing of some of the same sources, but it does make me chuckle with a bit of familiarity.
Exalted uses condition tracks instead of hit points (So, with x number of boxes, you take -1, -2, etc).
IIRC, Touch of Blissful Release may reduce or remove those. Or something along those lones; it is under the Healing tree, but I forget the exact effect.
I can't recall how 2nd edition changed it, but 1st edition lessened the penalties, but left the boxes checked. It also made you slightly euphoric so while you could get up and move around alright, it was still tricky to focus. Sort of like Laying on Hands, but with morphine instead of actual healing. True healing always was a bit of a drag even for exalts.
A while back some guy started a thread about how 4e is a lot like Rifts. You also forgot City of Heroes (Defender, Controller, etc).
Props though for not mentioning Star Wars Saga Edition. This was a genuine influence on 4e and is thus excluded for all time from any thread discussing influences on 4e.
It is, indeed, a Medicine Charm that reduces wound penalties (as well as some penalties caused by similar effects). But I included it in my list of examples for exactly the reason you already alluded to. It's a stupid name, and not for the same reasons as Dragon Tail Cut.
EDIT:
Of course, Exalted is guilty of far worse. Take 'Halting The Scarlet Flow' for instance. It's a healing magic used by the so-called Lunar Exalted on par with Cure Serious Wounds or something. But it conjures up images of... feminine hygiene, shall we say?
