Exotic Wpn Master Question

Does anyone understand the reason why the Exotic Weapon Master from Masters of the Wild requires the ability to Rage? I don't see anything in the in the PC that makes it a requirement, so it looks like it was added to make it a PC for Barbarians.

Any thoughts from anyone on this.

It's a silly requirment for a silly prestige class. It proably has it as a requirment because barbarians are from strange cultures and are more likely to use exotic weapons.

I'd change the requirment to have ing several craft skills (craft (black smithing) 9 ranks, craft (carpentry) 9 ranks) if i were to use this prc.

The Rage requirement rules out easily fulfilling the exotic weapon proficiency requirements by taking a level of Monk (who are proficient in several exotic weapons automatically). Note that you can still do this, but Monk and Barbarian are very incompatible. It seems like a real stretch to go from a Lawful Monk to a non-Lawful Barbarian.

It seems more of a flavor requirement. It gives me the image of someone who is mad enough to just simply pick up anything and start waling people with it.

I think it's there to keep monks and fighters out, which is silly IMHO. There's nothing about the class that makes it look like it should be restricted to barbarians.
