Exploring the Hase-Suna Complex (Manzanita judging) [Concluded]

Well, oppressive taxation is how the rich get rich isn't it. I'm just kiddin anyways I think if you support your people, whatever their race they will support you in your time of need.

Hell we can make ourselves Barons or Counts or whatever we want.

You are perfect for the role. I'll lead the orc shock troops. Imagine, I bring civilization to my orcish kin. You have a fresh batch of fearless and willing troops to conquer lands in your name. The orc race will finally have its lands and I think that if they do have lands with food and don't get persecuted all the time they will adapt to it. Of course you may have to turn your head to a little plunder and debauchery but then again any lord nowdays has to make some concessions when they hire troops.

Kyle half listens to Zurd's dreams of the future, to intent on cooking the meal to pay too much heed to what he is saying. Soon the smell of charring lizard flesh, dusted with spices, assails the nostrils. Shaving some goats cheese over the top and sprinkling on some herbs Kel presents the meal with a flourish "Come, dig in, there's plenty to go around." he says proferring the serving dish to his companions. Scooping up a piecer he jams it into his mouth "Pretty good if I say so myself" he says between mouthfuls.

"A repast worthy of Geoth", says Kongu. Kyle's culinary talents have clearly overcome her previous reticence about humanoid flesh.

After a little more small talk over the meal, she asks everyone, "So which way should we explore now?"

Lokin finishes the last of his meal and smiles at Kyle.

"Best meal I can remember. Without a doubt."

Lokin stands up and stretches after the meal.

"As for exploration, I say we head back to the first intersection and head west. See where that goes. I don't want any unexplored areas remaining between me and the exit, in case things turn bad."

I say we go out the north door since we haven't been there. Perhaps we can walk the peremiter halls and get some Idea of the complexes size.

(OOC: was prestidigitation)You know Kongu, do you have the spell I asked you about or not? As we talked about making some drumming noises at the right time would help in our possible negotiations with the orcs if they are indeed here.

I also have to tell you that you look smashing today in the torchlight, madam.

( Sorry, got tied up with family issues. I'm back though. )

Payne agreed with the torch idea, not wanting to bulk herself down with anything she needn't. Following the boys into the kitchen, and then back into the hall. Payne snorts when Zurd compliments Kongu.. her words flowing like venom to its prey. ``Didn't take you long to recover, eh?`` Perhaps it was jealousy rearing its ugly head.. but either way, Payne had started toward the door Zurd had suggested. ``I'll check it for locks and the such.`` Not really giving anyone time to object to her motives.

Kongu blushes a little at Zurd's flattery. "Thank you. Although this leather isn't what I would usually wear when I'm concerned about looking good."

Payne does not find anything unusual at the far door. Does the group now assume formation to leave the kitchen?

Kol was about to loosen his belt to fully enjoy the aftermath of the feast that was provided. Never have I eaten so well when in the "Wilds". When he noticed Payne storming out. He quickly followed with hefted Ax, thankful that the torchlight followed.

He would have to remember to remedy that some day.

OOC: Formation ho!!!

Responding to Payne....Zurd calls after her.

Never been one to try and change the mind of another when their mind is made up. Greener pastures and all that type stuff.

Glad to be moving out he grabs his ransuer and directs Kurg in a less than friendly voice to take his place and orders him to "guard" Payne. Kurg runs up to accompany her but stands a good 10' away until she takes her place in the marching order where he assumes his.
