Payne stops mid-stride, and drops slightly in a crouch. To those following it seems as if she has seriously lost her mind, miming a door out in the stonework. Head cocked, ignoring the woman whispering to one another. ``I say we go in here..`` The rogue thoroughly checks for traps and locks, if finding any resistance in the hidden door - she'll produce her thieves' tools.
 

Once Payne points it out, the others see that a large piece of stonework on the left side of the corridor, in the middle, is actually a door. Payne finds it locked, but with a little toolwork (taking 20) she is able to open it. The door swings in to the left.

The room is a semicircle, 40' radius, with you in the middle of the straight side. Right in front of you is a hideous-looking dwarf. Or was a dwarf; you all recognize that although he stands and walks and lifts his arms, he is not of the living. At the far right end of the room Payne sees two more humanoid figures; at the distance and by torchlight it's hard to tell whether they're alive. The door blocks Payne's view of the left half of the room.

Surprise round: The creatures all start moving slowly toward you. The dwarf-zombie stays put 10' behind the door. The other two figures come in toward the door but also stop 10' away. As they approach you can make out their slashed-up figures; from the faces, one was a human and the other an orc when they were alive, but it's not likely they are still living. You can't tell whether there's anyone on the other side of the room. I'll post a map shortly.

Kongu, from the back, speaks up. "Greetings, sir. Who are you, and what are you doing locked up in this place." She seems to be the only one among you who doesn't realize she's talking to a zombie. From her view in the back, with dim lighting, and standing behind taller people, she doesn't have a good view, and can't see the other figures at all.

What does Kurg do?

Kurg finds the undead a bit unsettleing but since his last command was to protect Payne and she is not under attack or threatened he stands his ground beside her.

His hair stands up along the ridge of his spine like it does when he senses danger and he lets out a low throaghty growl.

GRRRRR!
 

The zombies stand their ground, none of them moving closer to the door, although the orc-zombie lifts a battlaxe. Your turn, everyone!
 

The door opens with ease and Payne is still standing up when the room actually comes into view. Blink. ``What the f--?`` It takes a few moments for Payne to figure out exactly what is going on and its when Kurg lets out his gutteral alert that she snaps to. ``How nice, a welcoming party.`` Daggers flipped to hands and she poses, allowing one of the actual fighters to enter the room first. Waiting to see what comes from the ghoulish beasties.

(Postin' Payne's action now, so that I don't forget to. :) Assuming that Kol, Lokin, or Zurd will move into the room.. she's going to ready an action for a better chance to sneak in and flank. )
 

Kyle is horrified "Abomination! Evil! Repent! Repent! Spirits leave these bodies in peace. In Geoth's name depart back to the hell you came from." Kyle shouts as he brandishes his holy symbol in an attempt to turn the evil creatures away.
 

Kol moved into the room when he found his opening. "Mindless sacks of rotting meat!" he yelled and started flailing at one with his ax.
