Once Kol realizes he is running into darkness he stops short and moves back to where he can see.

Lokin watches in disbelief as his companions charge forward into the darkness. Whatever happened to learning from our mistakes and being cautious and methodical. He looks at Payne.

"I am NOT running after them this time. I'm not doing it!"

He cups his hand around his mouth and yells after them into the darkness.

"He's gone! Come back and assume a defensive position!"

Lokin looks back at Payne.

"We stay here and make our stand. And fight on our terms. Let's create a barricade at this door and prepare to retreat out the other if needs be. Try to keep open an avenue of retreat."

Lokin sheathes his sword and starts dragging some furniture or any other available debris to offer some cover on the door.

Obviously Payne wasn't paying as close attention as she thought, Kol's voice startling her and she dropped the chair she was dragging over. ``Sheesh.`` Gathering herself, and the chair once more, the femme fatale started back towards the door. ``They're coming back?`` Now they're making friends with monsters?

"Yeah...Zurd Grunted something at it and then it stopped and grunted back." he paused and smiled. "I think it translated to Stop brother and we can feast upon them together." he then winked to let them know he was jesting.
