Passed it. Don’t know when.
I went to bed around midnight CET when it was about €3K shy of the final stretch goal. So I didn't think it was likely that I would miss anything since Ema and Need Games are all in the same time zone. Sure enough. It's around 11:40 am CET now, and the stretch goal hasn't been updated. I look forward to reading what this last stretch goal entails.
 

So the Future of Fabula Ultima stretch goal is more about how Need Games will use the money to invest in expanding the Fabula Ultima game into new books, new game formats, new accessories, etc.

Thank you to every single one of you who supported Fabula Ultima and took part in this incredible campaign.

We’ve reached an unimaginable goal surpassing the threshold of one million euros raised.

A goal that brings with it not only immense joy but also a renewed sense of responsibility toward the entire community of this role-playing game, which has proven to hold a place in the hearts of countless JRPG fans and beyond.

Fabula Ultima has always been our main focus and greatest commitment, and we’re deeply proud of what we’ve accomplished so far: never compromising on quality and working tirelessly as a team alongside Emanuele Galletto, to whom we extend another heartfelt thank-you.

But starting today, we must do even more.
We must acknowledge the debt of gratitude we owe you and push beyond our current limits to take Fabula Ultima one step further.

We’ll probably begin with a disappointment, since many of you expected something “magical” for this final stretch goal, but this is something we honestly never had in mind when we first planned and launched this crowdfunding campaign.

So, it’s simply us—turning to you with the most sincere gratitude and making you a vow.

A vow of love and dedication, of sacrifice and determination.
We pledge to use the precious resources gathered through this campaign to make the bright future of Fabula Ultima shine even more brilliantly.

MAIN LINE​

The main Fabula Ultima product line is ready to grow with new volumes!
Following the 2026 release of the Celebration Edition and the Bestiary Vol. I, our new editorial plan aims to publish two volumes per year instead of one:

1- The Strategic Guide, a book that delves into the design philosophy of Fabula Ultima, offering optional rules and insights to elevate your game experience even further.

2- Bestiary Vol. II, which expands the Compendium of creatures while experimenting more boldly with unique foes and unforgettable boss fights.

And by 2028, our goal is to bring you Bestiary Vol. III!
But thanks to your support, these volumes won’t stand alone…

FABULA ADVENTURES​

Considering how far this game has gone beyond expectations—and with a community that keeps growing—we’ve decided to experiment with a new line alongside the main releases: Fabula Adventures (working title).

A series of Fabula Ultima campaign frameworks presenting ready-made foundations for settings that you’ll then build upon—adding your own details and enriching the world with your choices.
The Game Master will weave the stories of Characters based on specific narrative archetypes, whose destinies intertwine with that of their own world.

Each Adventure will combine unique themes and genres, reimagining JRPG tropes in new ways to craft compelling stories that blend strong narrative structure with the creative freedom Fabula Ultima offers—making each story yourstory.

We envision vibrant, customizable settings filled with organic, interconnected locations where well-written, three-dimensional NPCs provide the foundation for unforgettable adventures! And then you will be able to expand the same world with your own campaigns.

FABULA CHRONICLES​

The Fabula Ultima organized play!

Designed to offer free one-shot scenarios released on a regular schedule, all linked by an overarching meta-plot yet playable individually and in any order. Now, every LGS, club, or association will be able to host dedicated Fabula Ultima game nights. But you too, from home, with friends, or on Discord to meet new players!

In Italy, we experimented with a first season created collaboratively with our Twitch community, followed by a second season that was unfortunately cut short due to technical issues.
Now—thanks to the new resources we can dedicate to the Fabula Ultima ecosystem—Fabula Chronicles is ready for a grand return with an all-new original season, where world-building will happen together with the international community!

With the experience gained from past attempts, we’re incredibly excited to bring Fabula Chronicles back to everyone!

MERCH & ACCESSORIES​

We’re not saying it’s guaranteed—but from today, we can definitely afford to dream big (and maybe indulge in a few wild ideas).
We’re committed to expanding Fabula Ultima with merchandise and collectibles not strictly tied to gameplay. One of our next goals is to create a stylish apparel line dedicated to Fabula Ultima!

But we won’t stop at merch: we also plan to expand the accessory line, both physical and digital—with new card decks, a project that involves world-map, and pixel-art asset packs already in development!

MARKETING & CONVENTIONS​

Even more Fabula Ultima around the world!

Our first commitment is to expand our presence at international conventions attended by NEED GAMES!
The first major goal: Gen Con 2026, where we plan to set up a demo area for Fabula Ultima—and perhaps even host a massive multi-table event where different party of Heroes join forces to defeat the ultimate evil!

But since not everyone will be able to attend, we also want to produce a high-quality actual-play campaign in English—something the whole world can enjoy. We haven’t partnered with a creator group yet, but we’ll start reaching out soon (in fact, next week at Gamehole Con Madison will be a perfect opportunity) to form a partnership capable of showcasing Fabula Ultima with a top-tier, entertaining, and faithful production.

DEVELOPMENT TEAM​

“Okay—but can you really pull all this off?”

Well… as of today, the honest answer would be no.
But thanks to the incredible success of this campaign, we’ll now be able to expand the Fabula Ultima development team with new international-level professionals who will work alongside Emanuele Galletto—allowing him to take on the role of game director for some projects, in addition to author or lead designer.

This expansion will increase both production capacity and development time without overburdening Emanuele or the rest of the current team.
A renewed and strengthened team that will allow us to meet—and exceed—your expectations, because with your help in making our dream real, you deserve even more.
