Once a Time and Bubba Ho-Tep maybe Underworld but where is Runabout? Okay, it has the Rock in it but he is not bad and it looks like a fun action movie.
Whoops! That one actually looks like fun. I just plain old forgot to include it. My bad. My only worry about that film is that we've already seen all the cool parts in the trailer. I hope there is some left for the flick... :)

How about an option for "none! These movies are awful piles of dreck!!!" I mean, the only movies I am looking forward to are the ones you did not list.

Ah, bummer. What are you looking forward to? :D

And you are right, I should have included a none option for those who aren't too keen on the movies I threw up there.

I feel sorry for you.
Seriously, I do -It must suck being so alienated from the mainstream that you can't like one of the vast array of selections even in that limited Fall list.

I've heard the same statement from many people on a movie board I read, and it always seems so... depressing to not be able to enjoy such entertainment as X2, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc.

I might see 2 or 3 of these, but the only one I'm looking forward to seeing is Alien. The rest really don't do much for me one way or the other.

X2 and Pirates were not on the list. If they were (and they would not be due to the fact that they have already come out) I would have voted for them. Come on man! Nothing on that list is "mainstream". Joe Nobody has no clue about "Kill Bill" or "Bubba Ho-Tep". The only reason I do is because I read "Ain't it Cool News".

Just because a lot of people like "Armageddon" does not make it a good movie. Mainstream maybe, but not good.

You want to know what I am looking forward to? How about...

Thirteen
Off the Map
Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself
Elephant
In America
Peter Pan
House of Sand and Fog
Party Monster
Scarface

Those movies look to be worth my time and investment of $10 and 2 hours. Some of them may even be considered mainstream. And just because something is a "popcorn movie" does not mean that I wont see it out of hand. I am very much looking forward to LotR and Matrix.

Don't be depressed because I don't care to watch dumbed down time wasters. My time is far to valuable to waste on such fare. If there is nothing good at the cinema, I would much rather go to the theatre and watch something there.

To be fair, I was a little disingenuous with my last post. Matchstick Men looks to be a fine film that is worth my time. I will vote for that.

If you like comedy and SNL's Will Farrell, then Elf may be for you. Basically, it's about a human who as a baby left abandoned and was taken in by elves (Santa's helpers). He grew up (tall) thinking that he is an elf.

Barring an injunction, I'd watch Underworld.
