Familiars - Hamsters?

Okay, I have a player in one of my groups that had their familiar killed recently. She has stated that when the opportunity arises to replace it, that she wanted a hamster familiar. A hamster?!

Not sure how I should handle this.

Simple.
"OK, it's a hampster. Now pick any one from the list of special abilities the other familiars give, and it gets that. You can't pick the raven's speech ability. "

I say any because a hampster can't fly. If it could fly you *might* want to limit it to abilities granted to flying creatures... or you might ignore this as it's not really a big power issue.
