Famous last words of heroes

We have all had them, acts of stupidity and over confidence. Many of which are preceded by the sharing of a lapsing thought process.

I'll kick it off, if I may, with the immortal words of Socrates:

"I drank what?"

Sorry, just had to. I love that one.

More on topic:

"What's this green stuff?" -last words spoken before dying in green slime. 1st level character.

"What are you going to do, kill me?" - last words spoken by 7th level rogue, to a green dragon.

And my personal favorite:
"ZZZzzzzzz..............*splat*" - last words spoken by Urik, 6th (?) level mage who failed a save vs. sleep spell as he arrived at the top of a 120 foot tower.

 

[Carnifex]

Not actually the last words of a hero, but a very silly phrase nonetheless. The character, a rogue IIRC, was scouting arounf the edges of a valley at night because the party thought they'd seen something following them. He came across a young red dragon (can't remember what age category) which had been scouting for another party seeking the same place as the PC's. He saw it, kinda panicked (IIRC trying to fast talk his way out of the situation), and then the dragon languidly reached over and slapped him to the ground with one claw, not trying to do any damage and merely knocking him prone (it had no evil intent towards the PC's, and was merely checking them out).

The rest of the party arrived on the scene at this point, and saw the prone PC. He pointed at the dragon and yelled, "kill him! He killed me!"

The other PC's looked back and forth between PC and dragon, quickly coming to the conclusion that this was a pretty inaccurate claim. He was, after all, still speaking.

DM: You want to open the door?
PC2: YES!
DM: Roll a reflex save.

4th level fighter as the party waited for a dragon as it came out of it's cave-lair so they could sneak inside and nab the treasure: "I jump on it's back"
Rest of PCs & me(DM): "You..what?"
Player: "I jump on it's back, screaming 'DIE!'"
Dragon and PCs watch the fighter fall to his death.

"I bet you didn't know I could fly, did yAAAAIIIEEeee..." As flying wizard gets tagged by a dispel from opposing wizard on a narrow cliff pass.
