Thanks for all the replies so far. I can't edit the poll or just don't know how, but I think the options should probably just read: 1. Seeing it in the theatres. 2. Not seeing it in the theatres. I got a little carried away last night :) Please continue commenting on your expectations for the movie!

I don't fit your digital poll.

I think it is probably going to stink. It'll probably suck slimy aquarium rocks that have been piled up behind a toilet for a month. Backwards, through a straw.

But I'm going to go see it anyway, because a small part of me is a sad little comics fanboy.

I think Umbran and I should go see this together, since I'm right there with him on all counts. :)

F4 never did much for me as a group, so I doubt I will see them in the theatre.

Gimme more Nightcrawler and I'll be happy, though... ;)

I am not looking forward to it. Never really liked the Fantastic 4. I would like to see a Dr Strange movie though.

Will be seeing Batman though.

I've never been a fan of the FF comics, but I have to say the trailer has me pretty excited to watch it. Hopefully the full movie will live up to the hype.

I suspect they'll spend the whole movie discovering their powers. Ever listened to the director's commentary on the Incredibles DVD? He postulates that the process of becoming a superhero is more fun than the actual superheroics.

Don't really care to see the FF fight Dr. Doom. Always thought he was overrated. Never cared for the Robin-Hood-meets-the-tin-man green-on-grey outfit. It's a lot more fun watching the FF explorer far out places like the Negative Zone or the microverse. That's what they are, after all: explorers, not crimefighters.

With elite moderator powers I've edited the options for you.

I'll probably either go see it at the theater at a half-price matinee, or wait the 3-4 months for it to come to the base (where I can see it for three bucks). Like many, I'm not expecting much, but I do want to see how it turns out, good or bad.

Plus, with the last name of "Richards," you just know I have to be a Fantastic Four fan. :)
