Fantastic four / silver surfer trailer

If Galactus were to appear, I'd like it if his appearance was similar to how he was presented in the FMV's of Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Those who've played the game know what I mean. It's very true to Kirby's original design while having a very realistic feel to it at the same time.

So long as it's not Ultimate Galactus.

It's the Power Cosmic. I have several dozen SS comics, and coincidentally, reread a couple dozen of them just recently. I don't recall any passing through matter, or even his board, and I didn't see anything like it in the reread.

I'm a fan of the SS, and I think I'm pretty well versed on his story and powers. But maybe there's a little something somewhere that I missed that expains this "phasing". (Or some issue that at least shows him doing it.)

I mean, he does it twice in the 2-minute trailer.

Could be influenced by the Ultimate version who was significantly different, there were a hoard of them and their powers were different from the original surfers.

I dunno, maybe it's the caucasian face. Maybe they could do Galactus as being silvery like the Surfer, and less like a giant man donning power armor and a giant helmet. Maybe just a dash of Unicron?

But Galactus is just a giant man in armor!

Matter rearrangement at the molecular level has been in the Surfer's arsenal for a long time as far as I know. But when you can blast things with the Power Cosmic or throw buildings at people, it doesn't get very much play.

As for popping windows while blasting by the building at high speed but leaving it unharmed in passing through it, perhaps blowing through it would have been an unnecessary blow to his body (just because it doesn't stop him, doesn't mean it wouldn't hurt) whereas manipulating the molecules of air in his wake to avoid damaging the building on the way down was inconsequential to him?

But yeah, the flipping of cars was definately Johnny flying really low and really fast.

Too bad the Surfer didn't have a sign on his back for Johnny. "Out of your league."

That was a pretty sweet trailer. Thanks for sharing! I never saw the first one but figure I might give it a go through Netflix.

I watched this trailer about 15 times the other day. My 2 1/2 year old niece kept telling me to play it again :)

I wasn't impressed with the first one at all. I despised what they did to Doom. I did, however, think that Chiklis made a great Ben Grimm (I just wish they would have given him brow ridges) and the guy who played Johnny Storm was great as well.

I am really looking forward to this. The Surfer looks great (the Power Cosmic should easily let him phase through buildings.) Also, the director has said that Doom is going to be truer to the comics, instead of the metal skinned electrokinetic we got from the first movie.

I just want Doom to be a wizard in power armor, the way God intended.
