Fantastic four / silver surfer trailer

I dunno, maybe it's the caucasian face.

In the comics, it is mentioned on many occasions that Galactus appears in the form that is most recognizable to the viewer. Thus, to humans, he seems to be a giant human in armor. To skrulls, he looks like a skrull. To the Korbinites, recently (Beta Ray Bill's race), he appeared to be a purple and blue monstrosity that they associated with their mythological god of destruction.

Ah, so the World Eater is taking tips from the Vorlons...? ;)

See, now that is cool. Hopefully they show Galactus in different forms, maybe even varying based on the culture of the Earthlings seeing him.

Given the timing, probably the other way around. :)

Same concept, though, yeah.

That would be a cool idea, actually. He could appear to be a weirdly armored Shiva, his appearance and horned helmet might appear more sinisterly Satanic, etc. depending on who was looking at him. The more traditional Galactus look would probably be how Reed (the logical, scientific man) sees him.

I liked the first FF movie. (I also liked the Hulk movie.)

I want to like this next FF movie, with the the Surfer. But. . .

What was the deal with him flying through buildings and busses? And passing through his board? I don't remember anything like that from the comics.

And he passes through buildings without affecting them, but when he "surfs" over the outside of the building, the windows blow out?

He passes through a bus without affecting it or the people in it, but when he flies past a row of parked cars, they all blow over?

I thought all the damage was being done by Johnny, not by the Surfer; Johnny's flight sets off the car alarms. Note that the Surfer goes down the middle of the tunnel, Johnny is knocking signs off taxis, etc.

That is what I thought as well.

Wow ... I also thought the first FF was pretty poorly done. But this ... wow.

I'd love to see Galactus pop up, though. First comic book I ever read had Galactus in it. I remember thinking: "Who IS this guy???"

Johnny was not on screen as SS surfed down the building blowing out the windows. And it looked to me that the cars were flipping over in SS's wake (unless Johnny pushes a wake ahead of him).

Plus, Johnny didn't cause any such damage with his flight in the previous movie.

Hey, I'm plenty prepared (and hoping) to enjoy this (I enjoyed the first, and several others here did not). Just this 2 minute sequence/trailer kind of struck me as awkward/illogical/incogruent.

I think the Surfer avoided loss of life (passing through the building and stuff), but did collateral damage to either lose Johnny or to force Johnny to follow him, so he can have his awesome take in space.
