Hand I would disagree with you on one point. How can you think you will dislike Jessica Alba in a tight suit? Not Possible

Oh, she is nice to look at but...She went blonde and her actting has...(insert blonde joke here) :D

I dunno. I'm looking foward to it. I particilarly like the scene in the trailer where the nurse checks Johnny's temp and goes "My you're hot" and he goes "why thank you, so are you!"

heheh

Thought the first: I don't intend to watch FF, primarily because of their mutilation of Dr. Doom. I'm not one of those guys who insists that a movie should stick 100% to the source material. But what they did to Doom is just pathetic, and absolutely unnecessary by any legitimate reasons I can come up with.

Thought the second: I heartily encourage everyone--whether you loved or hated Daredevil--to rent the Director's Cut. It's about 8,000% better than the theatrical release. Seriously. Entire subplots and characters were cut from the theatrical release, as were many important scenes of both action and character development. The DD Director's Cut is actually a really good comic book movie.

Yeah. Johnny gets all the good lines in the trailer.

-Sue, looking at heat-seeking missle-"Don't even think about it!"

-Johnny- "Never do." -Jumps off building-

Cute, but definitely in-character.

I don't expect to be enlightened, but I figure I'll be entertained.

I've been meaning to rent it for a while, since you're not the first person I've heard say this. If DD had been tampered with by siuts or what not, it's not inconceivable that some of the other movies (Hulk, looking at you) that were more than a little sub-par may have been as well. Which doesn't particularly bode well for FF, but who knows?

Much more plugged in movie geeks than I can probably correct me, but from what I remember this movie has had nothing but bad "buzz" on the comic-geek front right up until the trailer with snazzy effects hit.

Keep in mind these are all internet rumors:
-The origional plan was to use minimal powers to conserve the budget. (Example: Torch would only have light-up hands.)

-The movie was intended to be a light, zany affair with wacky family based comedy.

-After fans freaked, the budget was increased, the tone was changed & the producers reluctantly decided to go with the standard uniforms.

-Rumor has it that additional footage was shot after the Incredibles put all their stretchy-guy scenes to shame.

-Dr. Doom isn't an evil genius, he is an angry fellow researcher with electric powers.

Now, this may all amount to nothing. But I do know that I have heard alot of bad word of mouth and seen one snazzy trailer. (And we all know what that is worth)

I just have a bad feeling.

And no love for Ben :(

The Thing is supposed to be the prankster of that team, not the Torch. More often than not the Torch is only funny when mocking the Thing.

Apparently they've made Ben Grimm all depressed and un-funny (or so I've heard).

Err, wasnt the Thing always supposed to be depressed at gloomy? I could have sworn he was often looking for ways to rid himself of his condition so he could "feel" human again.

Or was that just stuff they tossed into the cartoon?

Oh, no. The "I'm a monster" angst has been a major Thing thing for a long, long time. :)

The only reason I don't love the Thing in this movie is that the effect for him look really bad.
