Morte Cousine...

...such as the undead roast of pig which walks itself out the kitchen and over to the diner's table under its own {unholy} power. This decandant, possibly evil use of magical energies can be experienced, even tasted, at Rexrellis's, on Jancinth Way in the Inner City, Narcoriel. However, bring your platinum, Rexrellis's in widely considered the most expensive and exclusive resturant in {this particular} world, edging out even the Throne of the Third Heaven in Orissa, where the god Jaran Soulhammer himself is said to have complimented the pate...

And if you're of the mind to feast on necromantically prepared lich-pig {which is first slow roasted over spice-infused hickory chips}, may I also suggest finishing the evening entertainments with a visit to one of the Dark Theatres {of which the Dark Theartre of Mare is the first, and most famous, though also most timid}. The Dark Theatres of Narcoriel introduced the type of drama now known as the 'theatre of involuntary cruelty', where all the actors are in fact kidnapped citizens, who are exposed to illusory scenarios of extreme violence and/or horror, while their genuine terror is broadcast to the audience via mind magic.

Sorry for the length and the deviation from topic, but I get carried away.

Jellied Scones!

Brian Jacque's(sp?) Redwall series has some of the best food descriptions I have ever seen. When reading the books I would, honestly, salavate at the decriptions therein.

Suddenly, pizza, chips, and soda doesn't look at all that appetizing.

Also: At http://www.thistledownhall.com there is an entire section devoted to things to make to eat during gaming sessions, with a Fantasy faire. My favorite was a dish made of dough crossants stuffed with various meats.

Mmm. Meat.

Invested in a lot of cooking books when I moved out of home, so most of my recepies seem to be adaptions of meals from there that have been converted into a more fantastic edge. I also tend to run a mostly water world, so there's a lot of fish, rice, sea-weed being put in.

OTOH, two of the characters in my planescape party are trying to sample as many different races as possible before the evil darklord eventually gets around to devouring our souls. Managed to clock up most of the major PH races by now :)
