Fast Intimidation?

I'm of the opinion that intimidate in combat should be a move action. It's always worth attempting to convince your DM of the same thing... (Ask him how many times he's seen the ability used. ^_^)

A feat along the lines of Improved Feint would not be unreasonable, and putting it in the Combat Expertise tree (aka "School o' Dirty Fightin' Tricks") would make sense. Of course, now we're in the realm of house rules. Also, because fear effects stack, it could very quickly become overpowering when the fighter can basically make one opponent per round flee.

I will have to ask about Intimidating Strike... It says "as a standard action, you make a melee strike". I had been reading that as "plain melee strike", but there's no reason that a maneuver wouldn't count... maybe. Too bad, though, I would have preferred it on a charge.

They would not work together. They are each a standard action, and you only get 1 per turn.

Intimidating Strike = 1 standard action to make a melee attack and use intimidate
Maneuver = 1 standard action to use the maneuver
