Starman said:Yeah, but if you up the feats for the NPCs, too, then everything stays "balanced."
hollowleg said:Yeah, metabreath, multiweapon fighting, ability focus, virulent poison, hurl limbs...anything from Savage Species or the dragon feats section of Draconomicon (or the other type books) should make PC shake in their boots...
Starman said:The great thing about it is that you can break it down by race or region or organization or whatever and get a nice theme going.
Dannyalcatraz said:OK, Crothian...a little clarification if you will. If every class gets a feat per level, how do you keep the Ftr balanced vis a vis other PCs? Do they get 1/level + their usual bonus feats?
Crothian said:I give out a feat every level. The players are now 14-15 level, so they have a lot of feats. I don't limit the feats they can take, and no one has yet abused anything. Well, the archer ranger guy has but it hasn't been bad. I do give monsters and NPCs extra feats so it balances out pretty fast.
Frozen DM said:I was also considering increasing the number of feats across the board (PCs and NPCs) but I'm worried about the amount of extra work it takes. Since I only have a limited amount of time to prep adventures (hence why I am currently running Shackled City) I don't want to have to spend too much time re-adjusting the stats of NPC's to be more balanced.
Psion said:Yup. I was thinking pointing players at planar feats, seafaring feats, and faction feats.
