D&D 4E Favorite 4E classes(all)

What is your favorite 4E class of all time

  • Poll closed .
Boy, Arcaman, your bar for "of all time" is awful low.

In my limited experience, I went for paladin. I like the feel of the class, and its abilities. But I have only played three classes thus far, and none of them for long.

You have to Rember there are 8 classes in the PHB so it take longer for

the bar to get higher

I seem to be in the minority, but I just love the new paladin. Point at some dire menace and unless he/she/it comes to play, BAM retribution of the gods!

Gotta say the cleric. The change of healing to a minor action, or being part of a strike, is a huge step up. Plus, sacred flame is awesome -- blast your enemies, and give your friends a shot at shaking off whatever horrible condition is on them. Great stuff, and a big step forward from the 3E "Let's just make them broken" approach.

Wizards are becoming less popular. Is it because they need a buff?

No buff needed. I know plenty of people who hated wizards in earlier editions. I think that it's just a matter of some of the classes that were maybe less interesting in the past (Fighter, Paladin) are pretty awesome now. I've played Wizards for years and my first 4E character is a wizard, but I voted Paladin.

Funny, Warlock is doing the best, and though it's awesome, it's, in my opinion, the weakest of the 4e classes, for several reasons.
IMHO Warlock is the most flexible class. It fits the most character concepts. And it's the only class (so far) that can Gish effectively.

Cheers, -- N
