For some weird reason, Asmodeus, followed closely by Baalzebul. Probably because of Asmodeus' picture in the first Edition Monster Manual. He looks just like you'd expect Satan to look!

Why?
It's hard enough to pronounce in the first place. Give all demons their own background music. Then play the soundtrack to "Cats" right before your PC demonologist gets ready to summon him. Faced with the tune "Magical Mister Mistopheles" and the natural difficulty of pronouncing Mephistopheles' name in the first place, watch the demonologist botch the Archduke's name as he summons him.
Watch Archduke laugh at summoner - now powerless to control him because he is not using the right name - then destroy him.
Yummm.... If that's not sick and twisted, I don't know what is.
Besides, demons with their own background music are cool.

Of the Arch Devils I'd go with Beelzebub, as presented prior to the planescape/blood war/2e nonsense. The picture of him in the 1e MM was cool. The Lord of the Flies!

Yeah, I was always pretty fond of Bael too. I think it was the armor he wore in the 1e MMII illustration.
