Once again hong, I'm impressed. I like this feat, consider it stolen.
Though for my taste I think I will be using Improved Init instead of Quick Draw. Just seems more appropriate to me somehow.
Honestly, I just don't understand what all the fuss is about. You are spending a feat to be able to do with a non-reach weapon what anybody can do just by picking up a longspear. "But wait" you say, "this means you can take your AoO as they close and still fight with 5' reach. The spear guy is screwed if they get inside his reach". Not so, for the cost of one feat (improved unarmed strike) you can wield a longspear and kick at anyone next to you, for the cost of one feat (exotic weapon prof) you can weild a spiked chain and attack at both 5' and 10', for the cost of one feat (monkey grip) you can weild a reach weapon in one hand and a spiked gauntlet in the other. The system clearly values the ability to attack at 5' and 10' at the cost of one feat. And this one doesn't even let you do that, just take the AoO as if you could.
Nope, I just don't see what all the fuss is about. :\
