Feat for mobile Ftr/Pal?

First Post
I have a PbEM elven Ftr7/Pal4, about to be Ftr7/Pal5, what feat would you choose next?

Current saves are Fort +17, Ref +13, Will +8, and this is a high powered game with tough encounters, often 1 or 2 Els above our level. Only low stat is Wis (but slowly improving).

Other party members include 2x human Pal12, human Wiz9, human Clr10, human Monk 9, NPC Shadowdancer 15, NPC Ranger 9.

Current feats are Dodge, Combat Expertise, Improved Critical (longsword), Mobility, Spring Attack, Weapon Focus (longsword), Weapon Specialisation (longsword), and Whirlwind Attack.

Being a lightly armored fighter (chain shirt and buckler wielding longsword) I luuuuv Whirlwind Attack, Spring Attack, and Combat Expertise. Boots of Striding and Springing help out here.

Have access to PHB, DMG, MM, CAr, CA, CW, RoS.

I was thinking from the following:

Elusive Target
Power Attack (followed by Divine Might)
Divine Shield
Divine Vigour
Combat Reflexes
Karmic Strike
Superior Combat Expertise
Iron Will
Improved Initiative

I'd definitely take one of the Divine feats. Divine Vigor is always good, netting you an extra 24 hp at your level. What is the PC's Cha?

I've been playing a fighter 5/dervish 5 (just turned dervish 6) with some similar feats (whirlwind attack and dervish dance were made for each other...). I might suggest taking elusive target, this works really well with mobility to get a free trip attempt and, if you are willing to be flanked, making one of the flanking critters hit the other is fun...

Yeah, 24 hps wouldn't go astray. But he normally fights with Combat Expertise maxed out to boost his AC to 31 (sometimes 34 if he wearing his heavier armor). Hit points don't always seem to be a problem.

His Cha is now 18 (was 12) after a lucky draw from a 3.0E Deck of Many Things.

If AC 31 at 11th lvl is keeping you from being hit and you're doing fine hitting people with Combat Expertise maxed out, your DM isn't trying hard enough :D

8 people, and only 2 El's above?
definitely not trying hard enough.

Anything would be pretty good. I also vote for a divine feat.

Of the feats you had listed I like the following:

Elusive Target
Power Attack (followed by Divine Might)
Divine Vigour
Iron Will

How have you survived for so long with such a low Will save? Perhaps you don't need Iron Will after all.

Divine vigour is very good in that it also increases your speed, which is a good boost for a spring attack fighter like yourself.

You don't really need Superior Combat Expertise. What are your future plans? Ftr8 gains you another feat, and access to Greater Weapon Focus. Sticking to more levels of fighter gains you the feats you want faster. Look at which feats can be taken as bonus fighter feats.

Given the above reasoning, I'd go for
(Ftr7/Pal5): Divine Vigour
(Ftr8/Pal5): GWF
(Ftr10/Pal5): Power Attack
(Ftr10/Pal5): Divine Might
(Ftr12/Pal5): GWS
(Ftr12/Pal6): Elusive Target (and better saves....)

Shilsen, the character also has 5 ranks in Tumble and often Fights Defensively as well, so AC is often above 31. He still takes a few hits, but not enough to really slow him down. Some battles have raged for nearly 18 rounds.

Corlon, not sure what the EL ratings were, but the last 6 encounters yielded the following experience point rewards by the 3.0 DMG: 3115, 7503, 4682, 2040, 3846, and 2100. The first couple were with a party size of 14. We then split into 3 smaller parties and took on some henchmen etc. The 2nd encounter also cost us 5 dead characters.

Green Slime, I thought the Will save was pretty good for a fighter type! However, it hasn't really been a major issue to date. Most encounters are sword intensive or spells cast have been destructive in nature. Future plans are to keep advancing Paladin levels. I'm unsure whether the DM would block taking further Paladin levels if I advanced any fighter levels.

I'd love to take the Power Attack/Divine Might combo, but I'm also looking at taking a special dragon mount at level 15 and need Leadership for that, so unless I can advance the fighter levels to grab extra feats, that combo won't happen.

Would it be better to go Divine Shield (+4 to AC) or Divine Vigour (+10ft speed to 70ft and +24 hit points)?

Consider Combat Reflexes then Hold The Line (Complete Warrior). After you Spring Attack, your enemy must usually move to attack you. If he charges, Hold the Line gives you an extra attack of opportunity as he enters a square you threaten. This can give you two attacks to his one, especially if you use Tumble and your extra fast movement.

I'm allergic to Will saves with my fighters. I always take Iron Will, and preferably Luck of Heroes if I can wrangle it from the hands of the evil DM (and they are evil, all of them).

Divine Shield doesn't really last long enough, IMO. 2 rounds at Cha 18. Divine vigour lasts minutes.

(Ftr7/Pal5): Divine Vigour
(Ftr7/Pal8): Leadership
(Ftr8/Pal9): GWF
(Ftr9/Pal9): Elusive Target
(Ftr10/Pal9): ??
