Feat Master

So when the character is asked what their profession is... they respond "Master of Feats"??!!

Even PRC's ought to have some sort of theme or name to them that can be explained while in Role Play Game-Mode (In Character). I am therefore not wild about the concept expressed here.

Give me a role-concept and then work out the details... not a game mechanic concept with no theme other than gaining more game effects.

True that - the flavor is killing me.

So, what if the class stayed the same except instead of picking any feat, a list of spicific feats was created. For instance a fighter type could only choose from the list of fighter feats. THe flavor then would be in the class types for the feats lists.

(semi-humor)

There are 1,500 feats.
Even that 15th level gestalt character only has 25 of them (plus another 15 as class innate, or so.)

A wicked character, but he doesn't know everything! :)

I could actually see the sub-class mechanic used to create characters with some bonus feats in certain areas.
Like an Archer-Fighter (ranged weapon specialist subclass)
or an Alchemist Wizard (alchemy/herbalism feat list with subclass)
or an Exalted Cleric, Fighter, Mage, etc. (with some kind of Exalted Feat list)

These are just a few random thoughts on a way to grant what the OP wants with a different method than a PRC with only Feat Generating as a Schtick, but I still think there needs to be a professional focus to the idea.

Heal (Wis), Knowledge (nobility and royalty) (Int), and Sense Motive (Wis).
actually. so while not a huge hit still unfortunate in some ways.
So in your first level of feat master, take skill focus in all three. Plus isn't there a feat to make a cross-class skill into a class skill and another to make knowledge skills into class skills and give you a bonus in them?

I'm actually considering this concept as a feat instead of a prestige class.

Feat-a-plenty
Benefit: when you would gain a feat inherently (Wish, Leveling, class features count, magic items don't) from any source, you gain a bonus feat as well.

Seriously. :D

The catch? I'm planning on have a few feats as a prereq and a limited list of bonus feats

Combat Casting? Not on it. Spring Attack? Nope. Skill Focus (Craft Cobbler)? Maybe... :D

The idea is to give some extra flavor feats that wouldn't make it past the first round of culling. The question just boils down to would it be better to have it as a feat with a few prereqs (thus requiring you to establish a flavor based character) or as a seperate side of bonus feats (Thus requiring everyone to have flavor) ... :)

For the class to be at all workable, you need to: 1) require the character meet the prerequisites for an bonus feats ge takes as a Feat Master; and maybe 2) put some restrictions on what feats he can take. (ie, make a list of feats, or ban certain types)
