Feats for level 6 human wild sorc?

washout

First Post
I'm converting my 6th level wizard to a wild sorcerer. I plan on a 20/14 int / dex build unless anyone thinks that would be retarded. Having the extra to hit is just too valuable imo, consistent hits seems more valuable than an extra point of damage.

I don't really know what feats are best either beyond leather armor prof. And the +1 to hit on a target the turn after using a basic power and maybe action surge and human perseverance.

1. Leather Armor
2. +1 hit after basic hit
3. action surge
4. Human perseverance
5. ??

Implement Expertise. Weapon focus: Light blade. I assume you mean 20 CHA/14 DEX. I'm never a fan of 20 builds and even less so on humans, but suit yourself. Toughness is a possibility. Durable if you're running out of surges due to that lousy CON.

I like 20 stat builds, and I have a whole bunch but ... not for a sorc.
Starting AC of 14 makes you a potential liability for the party.
(Define liability as "having you absent > having you present")
20 int wizs are made of win ... 20 cha sorcs are made of squishy.

18/14 array may be worthwhile if you're a drow or a halfling, but otherwise, 16/16/13/11/10/8 would be a much better option. Actually, I'd still go for a double 18 on a drow or halfling.

Having said that, if you're confident about keeping yourself out of harm's way (and the party is the kind that works for your keepings off antics), then go right ahead.

But .. feats on a human
I'd go with:
1) Leather Proficiency
Human Bonus) Dagger Expertise
2) Action Surge
4) Weapon Focus (Dagger)
6) Arcane Spellfury

Here, I'm assuming Dagger (weapon group) Expertise and Weapon Focus works for implement attacks (as per FAQ), but not everyone plays/runs it that way.
Just a warning.

I prefer action surge (earlier anyway) over arcane spellfury 'cos if your party is concentrated-firing, you may never get a second attack off ... whilst +3 on APed attacks can mean a hit with your big blam, or maximising efficacy of a multi-target attack.

Some other feats I also like:
Toughness (yes, really)
Distant Advantage (free CA vs bosses 'cos your buddies are flanking it, right?)
Disciplined Wild Soul (though I'd probably wait for paragon tier)
Human Perseverance (awesome, but with a phenomenal will defense, and intending to keep out of harm's way, its utility is debatable. Although, with your low AC, you could be making death saves on a regular basis)

I would suggest

Leather Armor Prof
Action Surge (Nice to hit with dailies)
Disciplined Wild Soul (To give you a better shot at a useful resistance.)
Implement Expertise (for that +1 to hit)

Perhaps Dark Fury for the +1 to psychic damage (which will be a main attack)

I personally would not allow weapon expertise and implement expertise, but that is a whole 'nother thing.

Also I would not go 20 Cha to start, it is nice, but I'm not sure the benefits are woth having all your other stats low. (assuming point buy)

Weapon Expertise specifically says "weapon power" so it won't work. Weapon Focus works per the FAQ, but you'll need implement expertise (Daggers) if you want the +1 to attack rolls. Not a big deal since you won't normally be making weapon attacks (basically this would be OAs, which aren't going to be a threat without Melee Training anyway, which you can take eventually if you get very bored.)

Mutliclass Ranger is a decent option, Quarry 1/encounter to add some single-target damage, and eventually you can take Spitting Cobra Stance via power-swap, and that's just loads of fun. :)

Rogues
spring to mind off the top of my head.

Rogues are pretty darn accurate (especially since they demand CA), and can get some very nice benefits from a decent secondary score. Not saying you're wrong, just it's not as clear cut as it initially seems.

Also - I thought that sorcerors were charisma based??

It's a long way off the only way to build a rogue but it's a reasonable way to build one.

I'd say that Archer Ranger & Wizard are better options for a 20 score build than a rogue (again, not the only builds - although I think the strongest archer ranger) but a rogue is a better option than any of the other PHB1 classes (I'm not up on the PHB2 classes yet)

20 score builds are generally less common in PHB2 ...
I try .. I try really hard ... I've built a 20 cha bard in a tin can, and am looking at building a 20 wis wardodo I mean druid.
But .. there aren't any classes with main stat AC in PHB2 .. to the point that 20 stat paladins tend to be more efficient IMO.

To look elsewhere for 20 stat builds, I'd have to go with swordmage and artificer.
