Fell Scorn pact boon missing from the Dark Sun book?

Well, at low levels, this pact boon is probably one of the best, if you can blast little guys for 2d8+1d6 pretty easily. That should take kobolds out pretty quickly.

The drawback of course is you are restricted to certain powers, unlike the other pacts that work with any power. Maybe a feat would have been nice to allow the Fell Boon to add onto existing warlock powers.

An aspect of the Dark Sun campaign setting is things on Athas don't work exactly like they do elsewhere. While the Sorcerer-Kings are pretty powerful on Athas they're not exactly on the same power level as the Fey and demons Warlocks normally make their pacts with. The Sorcerer-Kings also have an impetus not to allow their Templars to get too powerful lest they become able to overthrow them. Thus a Warlock's pact with a Sorcerer-King is not going to have exact parity with a normal Warlock pact.

That all being said the Fell Scorn worked well for me last night in the Encounters game. I was playing Vinara the Warlock and I cursed the BBEG. He got stuck with my curse and I got additional 1d6 damage every time I hit him and I was able to augment Hand of Blight with Fell Scorn for an additional 1d8. I rolled well so I did a fair amount of damage. Had the other baddies not been minions Fell Scorn combined with Warlock's Curse would have been a nice way to mow through them. Since it's a minor action to curse a creature you can throw out a curse every round and then use your Fell Scorn augment as often as your party kills cursed monsters. This is a lot more versatile than the low level psionics that can augment powers and then get stuck without any more power points.

Ask, and ye shall receive ;)

Like said, this article is full of win (Thanks malcolm_n)

Example: "Balican High Praetor [Greater Pact]
Prerequisite: Warlock, Sorcerer-King Pact class feature, Balican Praetor feat
Benefit: Whenever an enemy you have cursed drops to 0 hit points, you gain the following benefit in addition to regaining the use of your fell might.

The next ally you can see that hits with a damaging attack before the start of your next turn subjects its target to your Warlock’s Curse. If the target is already under your curse, the ally’s attack instead deals extra damage equal to 3 + your Intelligence modifier.

You can augment powers associated with this feat with your fell might. When you hit an enemy with an augmented power associated with this feat, each ally adjacent to the target can either shift 1 square as a free action or gain a +2 power bonus to all defenses until the start of your next turn.

Finally, you can use Charisma instead of Constitution for attack rolls and damage rolls with any power associated with this feat.

Powers associated: Fortune binding, Hero's arrow, Skirmisher's volley, Life force reclaimed, Awaken the dragon, Shattering the sword."

2 Pact Feats for each Sorcerer-King, and the fluff is great too. Congrats to the author.

See, I was smart and read the powers before I read what fell scorn was, so since I read in opposite order, I understood right way...

Read power... Saw this fell scorn thing in the power. Asked myself, "what is this all about?" Then I read the fell scorn entry and it clicked! :)
