Female opinions, please

is your resident female gamer very logical or interested in biology? Just wondering because i can see how that view could occur, Its just hard for me to believe.
Being keen on biology would be wanting to play a dragonborn without a vagina. Wanting to play a dragonborn without breasts is pretty reasonable, as I think most people are aware reptiles do not have them.

Edit - Pretty sure that anyone who has seen the Iksar from EQ2 is going to see the boobs on female DBs as dumb. You don't have to be a biology expert or "very logical" to know mammals are called mammals because they have mammaries.

Yeah... I think anyone who paid attention during zoology could potentially find it pretty dumb.

This point is of limited relevence, becasue the vast majority of mammals don't have breasts.

Edition Wars issues aside, posts where people said "we looked at the books and hated it", I would like to know what people think of 4e after they actually play it verses assuming a negative experience based on judging the game by the look of it. Once someone has played the game their opinion of the game is much more insightful and valuable.

All of the "we looked at it and hated it" is just first impressions and shock from the percieved differences. Most people I know who play 4e love it and say they are never going back.

I would like to hear female opinions from women who have played it.

My wife (who we've been together for 15 years now) and played D&D together since 2nd editon, LOVES it more than any previous edition...period.

She loves the variety in the class choices at first level and as classes go up in levels.

She loves the class features and differences between each class.

She loves that the game is less video gamey and more gritty, with healing surges adding tension as they are used up and characters can't be healed.

She loves the tactics and group co-operation.

She loves the monster write ups and special rules each monster has.

She loves the rituals, colorful magic items and other "realistic" fantasy feeling features.

Our group is almost level 5 now, with 60 hours of play experience. She thinks most of the negative opinions are wrong and from people who haven't given 4e enough of a chance.

Personally, I agree with her. Come 6 months from now I think most D&D players are going to finally adopt 4e when they realize most of their fears are misplaced.

 maybe you should have stopped at "period" then. I mean, questioning the validity of other people's opinions and slipping questionable affirmations about the game in your wife's list of likes and dis likes that are awfully similar to those you have made yourself in other threads... may not be the best way to avoid edition wars. :)
