Female opinions, please

Actually, you can take powers from all 8 classes in the PHB.

Regular Class A
Half-Elf (dilettante, Class B)
Multi-Class Feat(s) (Class C)
Eternal Seeker (Classes D-H)

Very, very good point – I hadn't thought of that combo…the shame!

Not at all, just anecdotal experience, believe me; I would love to meet a woman that plays this game, that doesn't come off as a comic book store dweller.
You're also going to the wrong comic book stores.

I'm so doing this :D

My SO is no longer intimidated about playing spellcasters because of 4E. Her only critique is that the PHB cover layout is horrible (she's a copy editor).

I'm loving it. I really enjoy the more transparent tactical options for combat, as well as the more nuanced nature of skill challenges. And I'm one of those actor/storyteller types.

Furthermore, it seems more modular than 3.XE, so I can add things I want and take away things I don't want more easily. 3.XE had too many "requirements" for the system to work that made experimenting with different play styles too difficult to manage.

I really don't care if it steals borrows some ideas from MMORPGs, as long as it uses the good ideas.

Lol, you guys are funny. Everyone knows female role players don't exist!
Well, my wife isn't a roleplayer...she's a rollplayer (a point that she frequently reminds me of when I try to get her to do the former). ;)

We will play in our first 4e session in a couple weeks, so must reserve our opinion until then. I will say that we are both cautiously optimistic. :)

Can we please get this thread back on track, please? I'll also expect that people do not stray to a judgment on female gamers. This is about their judgment of the game.

To quote one of the female players in my group, "If we have to play 4e, can I make a dragonborn female without breasts?"

I don't believe you. are you being honest? My experiences have been the exact opposite. No female player I know would ever play a dragonborn without breasts.

is your resident female gamer very logical or interested in biology? Just wondering because i can see how that view could occur, Its just hard for me to believe.

My wife also thought they DB boobs were dumb, so you're wrong I'm afraid.

Edit - Pretty sure that anyone who has seen the Iksar from EQ2 is going to see the boobs on female DBs as dumb. You don't have to be a biology expert or "very logical" to know mammals are called mammals because they have mammaries.
