Valdor makes a few mesurements, pins a few things up and about, keeping his touch very profesional, and in the end, the dress, while pinned, fits much better than before, being tighter where it should be tighter, looser where it should be looser. "Well, you do look wonderful Elise, but you don't seem too excited about it. Is there something else that strikes your fancy?"

"Thankyou, his is beautiful, It's just not my style. Though there was a robe that caught my eye. If you'll give me just a moment to try it on..."

Valdor pulls out a few pins and such to make it less likely Elise will stick herself. "Of course. Try them all on if you'd like. Just let me adjust a few things to give you a custom fit before you decide, for the fit can make the dress."

"It would seem that this Earling is even more like Covington than Covington."
"Covington is a fine town. It's hard to judge the town based on the insanity that is this festival. On any normal day, this is a fine town with good people."

"Well, that might be th' case," Troi says, "But I'm lookin' forward ta gettin' back ta Orussus. This place is gettin' ta me... an' it might only be 'cause a th' festival, but I don't really 'ave an int'rest in these small towns anyway, y'know?"

"Small towns are nice I think. Neighborly neighbors, everyone looks out for eachother, and they all relly on each other. Too many people drop though the cracks in a big city."

"But it seems that the people here are 'looking out for each other' in a negative, paranoid way, At least in Orussus I have never seen the level of utter oppression present in this awful town."

"One man's freedom is another man's oppression I guess. I realy don't understand your point of view Miss Lasair, but perhaps it's just the culture you grew up with. Hopw does a typical town this size in your culture manage itself?"

"Each person's vhal requires that they treat each other fairly and honestly. If they lose sufficient vhal through misdeeds or other manners, they may be made to serve a term of shidan as penance. For extremely unmanagable cases, they are simply exiled."

"Well, I woud guess that vhal is some sort of honor system, though I had thought that perhaps zij was that, and I'm guessing your values are a bit different than ours. And what is a term of shidan, if I may ask?"
