Festival of Halina: Adventurers Gone Wild! (Orsal Judging)

The party (Minus Elise and Fang) walks over towards the East Field, where their displays and activities of the East are happening today. There are a few Katara with some games, and interesting treats and music. Also, many dwarves offering beer, drinking games, and the occasional song (again, of the drinking variety). Also, several dwarven treats (most beer soaked). There are other races as well, dressed in different fashions, prepairing different foods, and offering song and dance. All in all, it is a fairly diverse cultural display, as it appears the east has many cultures.

"Oh, look, a heritage festival!", remarked Oirhandir as the party made it's way from exhibit to exhibit. He planned on taking in the sights and sounds until either he or Scarlet grew bored, or until dinnertime arrived.

OOC:[sblock]Katara's and Dwarves?

Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
To live

They got little hands
And little eyes
And they walk around
Tellin' great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes
On their nasty little feet

Well, I don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
Round here

Short people are just the same
As you and I
(A fool such as I)
All men are brothers
Until the day they die
(It's a wonderful world)...[/sblock]

"You look wondeful Elise." Valdor says with a smile. "May I?" he asks, approaching with a few pins and a mesuring tape.

Elise holds still, trying to to shift in the dress, so unlike the new styles. "Of course" Elise replies iffily, about the dress, very ready to try on something else as soon as Valdor finishes with the alterations

[sblock] Sorry about the unexplained absance, but in related news, for better or worse, my life has return to the way it was before this past month of spotty posting. and my brain stopped talking

More of a reply when it's not 3:30 in the morning[/sblock]

Troi wanders around with the others, following them but not really interested in the festival.

"So, Carsis," He says as they mill about, "where ya from? An' what brings ya ta th' festival?"

Valdor makes a few mesurements, pins a few things up and about, keeping his touch very profesional, and in the end, the dress, while pinned, fits much better than before, being tighter where it should be tighter, looser where it should be looser. "Well, you do look wonderful Elise, but you don't seem too excited about it. Is there something else that strikes your fancy?"

"It's good to see the Katara this far west. They're a wonderful people," Carsis says.

"Earling if you can believe it. Not that I'm particularly attached to it. Barbaric place if you ask me."

"Oh, the gladitorial pits, throwing men's lives away for sport, the wretched excess, the self indulgance. If this festival were there, it would be a true pit of debauchery and self indulgance, and thieves would be thrown before wild animals for judgement," Carsis responds. "No, I'll have my leave of Earling. My clothes, my spear, and my music are all I need."
