Festival of Halina: Adventurers Gone Wild! (Orsal Judging)

Scarlet responds in Elven "
I'd think ya might be a bit more origional now that ye've seen it done. Don't worry, I'm sure ye'll think of somethin' sweet.
" She gives Oirhander a wink.

"Of course Elise, I'd be delighted to dine with you." Valdor says. He offers his arm to Elise "M'lady?"

Carsis whispers to Lasair "Would it offend your Zij if I were to offer you my arm?"

Sunny looks at Troi and says "Don't even think about it, I'm engaged."

The party makes it's way to dinner, which is indeed beginning to be served. In the flavor of the west, many of the same merchants who were displaying foods, drinks, and other things from thier culture are serving the food. There is a large assortment of fish, fowl, odd vegitables, beer battered, beer baked, beer soaked, beer basted, and even beer fed entreys to be had. Some very similar to anyting you might find in Orussus, others quite unique and exotic. And, as always, there is the special Festival Brew. Music comes from a couple of different ends, varrying from several popular drinking songs to a bit more exotic Kataran string intrumentals. At the moment, there are few dancers, but the night is young.

Oirhandir called one of the waiters over, and discreetly indicated that he intended to pay for Lord Valdor, Elise, Scarlet, and himself. "It'll be worth the coin just to see the look on Valdor's face when he finds not every favor is his to give", he thought to himself.

Somewhere between the beer-battered fish and the beer-baked chicken (so much meat, this had to be a meal in the style of men, not elves!), Oirhandir attracted Elise's attention, and asked, "So, how are the wedding plans going? Has Daphnie decided how many bridesmaids she will have?"

"The plans are going very well.
Yes. She will have three bridesmaids, they are..."
Elise thinks for a moment "Her best friends Racheal and Julie, and uh, me."

Oirhandir was stunned. He had just wanted a simple liason, not such an entanglement. "Wow, that's wonderful news", he said, trying to sound enthusiastic. "Um, you are pleased to be so honored, are you not?", he added sympathetically.

Another part of his brain was calculating. "We need two more", he thought, then corrected himself. "Sunny needs two more."

LogicsFate said:
"Yes." sounding as enthusiastic as Oirhandir "I couldn't think of a better way to spend the last days of the festival."
Was there a hint of pink at the tips of Oirhandir's ears? He felt as if there might be. "Well, I'm sure you'll be as lovely as any of the other bridesmaids", he ventured, thinking that it hadn't come out quite as well as he meant it to. "Lovlier, even", he hastened to add.

He turned to Sunny and quickly changed the subject of the conversation. "So, uh, it looks like you'll be needing two more groomsmen, then, won't you?"

"Elise will be the most wonderful woman at the wedding, bar none." says Valdor confidently with a smile at Elise.

"Well, Troi and Fang of course. Who else... um, where's Fang?" asks Sunny.

Carsis says to Lasair "Well, perhaps you have a point with that wreath thing. Are you weddings much simpler?"
