I'm not so sure what the best way to describe it is...it's just so natural to me. I guess if you are a woman, then someone is your sister wife if she is your first-sister and has the same husband as you do...But it is more than that."

 

[Bront]

Carsis caughs for a second "Same husband? Sister-wives must be quite tolerant then. Most women would have trouble sharing a man, or so I've found."

Scarlet smirks a little at this.

"Not really. In fact, quite the opposite: sometimes the husbands are said to be jealous of the special relationships that the sister wives share."

 

[Bront]

"I guess I can see that. Did your mother have many Sister-wives?"

[sblock=Lasair]Looking at Carsis's overall tone, he seems quite facinated with your culture, but equality interested in you. Perhaps trying to initiate some sort of courting ritual of some kind, though it's hard to tell with this odd culture.[/sblock]

"She...she..." it is clear that Lasair is troubled and doesn't want to talk about this..."She had only one," she finally manages.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring up any painful memories. I'm just curious to hear a bit more about you. I find you intriuging Lasair." Carsis says, finishing the sentance with a friendly smile.

"What about you? Was your mother in an arranged marriage?"

 

[Bront]

"Yes, bless her heart. Neither she nor father had much choice in the matter. But they grew to love each other deeply, and father refused to cast her aside when she couldn't bear a second child. Unfortunately.... well... I don't want to bore you with the details."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Ah, I see. They must have been lucky not to have been victimised by this awful system..."

 

[Bront]

"There's... a lot to it" Carsis says, struggling for words at this point. "Victems..." he says. "an..Ironic choice in words."
