Oirhandir was fascinated by the exchange between Lasair and Carsis. They both seemed to have a lot of history that they didn't wish to discuss. That wasn't so unusual for Carsis, but he'd known Lasair for nearly two weeks, and was still surprised by how little he really knew about her.
Valdor's interjection jolted him out of his reverie, and he recalled Sunny's question. Fang, Fang...hadn't he wandered off early in the morning in search of Helen again? Oirhandir cleared his throat of the beer-soaked carrots (thinking that beer and carrots were just fine by themselves), and addressed Sunny: "Speaking of arrangements, I don't think I've seen Fang since early this morning. Didn't he say something about visiting Helen again before leaving camp? Now, there's a match nobody would have arranged!"
