"A normal wedding usually does go smoothly, but I can certainly believe that the monsters that weddings in these lands have become may more often than not lead to unhappiness and sorrow."

"I think it's just a matter of self control. Though, when you get 2 excited partners, it's hard to contain them sometimes."

"Of course, when you get a partner who doesn't want any part of it, then you have real problems...How barbaric..."

"Tis the world of aranged marriages. Political gains, house treaties, or simply money, they're a part of the world in many places."

"Simply barbaric...I cannot see how these marriages even stay together. If the man takes the woman as wife against her will, surely she will capture or kill him to avenge her vhal and regain her freedom."

Carsis winces "Sometime's it's not that simple, and often, neither partner is particularly amicable, or even the man is against it. It more about obediance to their families, and comunities in these cases. I guess you could view it as honoring a debt of Zij, if I am using the term correctly."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"It is a silly way to make bonds. They could do it by sharing water instead...But the main problem seems to be that they don't allow women to have sister-wives here..."

 

[Bront]

"Water is plentyful here, and holds little bond. And what is a sister-wife?"
