Festival of Halina: Adventurers Gone Wild! (Orsal Judging)

"I don't think so...My way is lost and according to prophecy will never be found, and so it is simply my lot to wander in my futile search until I am no more. There is no other choice."
"How have you lost your way Miss Lasair? And what Prophecy do you speak of?"

"Well, a few concerned townsfolks saw the two of them togeather, but said they disapeared in town. And a good friend of mine who runs the Inn across the way saw her sneak out one night, and came to tell me. She returned from the north field, and I put two and two togeather."

"Well, ta be perfec'ly honest with ya, I don't see how ya managed ta do that." Troi says. "Maybe she wasn't with 'im? Maybe she was with somebody else? Maybe she wasn't even with anybody, an' she fell somewhere, er somethin', an that's why 'er dress was all messed up an' whatnot? Not only that, but havin' 'em 'disappear in town' doe'n't necessarily mean they were makin' th' beast wi' two backs. Maybe they went somewhere ta have a conversation, er somethin' equally harmless. Did ya know that Daphnie an' I wandered 'round th' festival fer awhile? Yet ya don't accuse me a somethin', an' rightfully so, 'cause nothin' happened. Do ya have anythin' more'n a hunch that they were doin' somethin' improper?"

"You might have seen him, but even if you told me where to go, he wouldn't be there when I reached the location. The prophecy is never wrong..."
"Well, I would like to help you if you would let me Miss Lasair. Your destiny is what you make of it, and I have confidence that a smart and wonderful woman such as yourself will find a way to succeed."

"I don't think so...My fate is sealed for all time...Even if you had seen him, a man with red hair, green eyes, very pale skin, and an unnatural aura of wrongness around him...It is my curse to seek him forever."

"Well, I know my daughter, and she'd been acting strangely the past few days. Wasn't looking me in the eye, avoiding being around me, and she seemed hung up on this Sunny guy. I hear she tried to get him picked as the Master of Cerimonies. As far as you were concerned, I heard she was with you in the freefolk camp, but you parted ways after a few hours."

"Well, I've not seen him, but I'll keep my eyes open. And I appreciate you sharing, I can see it bothers you to talk of, so I will ask of it no more unless you wish to speak of it."

Sunny gets up slowly, and looks only a little worse for wear, though he's poking at his tender abdomen. "I think I'll be alright."

*Lasair nods.*

"Then we shall speak no more of it."

"That is good to hear Sunny--it would have incurred much zij from me if you had died while trying to protect me..."
