Festival of Halina: Adventurers Gone Wild! (Orsal Judging)

Fang and Helen make their way to the table once the music ends. Valdor and Elise are still off dancing.
The news was just too good to keep to himself. "If you haven't already heard, you may not believe this", began the elf, "but Sunny and the mayor's daughter Daphnie are getting married the last day of the festival! Sunny has asked me to be his best man, and he wants to know if you'd be one of his groom's men. It would be Troi and the two of us during the wedding. Oh, and Elise is one of the bride's maids! Maybe you'd better speak to Sunny about it next time you see him...we might need some fancy clothes, too, since we're going to be in the wedding."

Oirhandir waited for their reaction. Either they'd already heard, or...well, likely their jaws would drop!

"You could have used that healing spell on yourself and taken care of it, I am sure. I probably did nothing but hold you back...Interestingly, sometimes the team is actually weaker than the lone members, although it is an unusual phenomenon. For instance, you could have defeated it easily alone in combat, and I could have Charmed it and avoided a fight if you didn't attack it."
"On the contrary, a team is only as good as the sum of it's parts, but that sum can't be fully realized till the parts know how to work with each other. I appreciate your confidence in my skills, but I'd still rather have you by my side in combat."

Fang seems a bit upset "'ou mean I need ta we'r that stuff again?"

Helen says "Fang, dear, it's durring the closing cerimony, and you were going to have to wear it then anyway. You'll be just fine dear. Yes, the mayor asked me about it this afternoon. Though he couldn't look me in the eye for some reason."

"I'm not really one for fighting...I try to avoid combat if possible."
"Agreed, no need to fight when there are more peacefull ways. Still, a fine companion and a good spear are sometimes needed in this world."

OoC: [sblock]Yeah, I thought it was weird, and I was going to post at some point asking about it... don't worry about it, things happen.[/sblock]

"No...nothing...it just...wouldn't it be nice if it wasn't like that?"
"In a perfect world, there would be no need for arms, and everyone would enjoy the freedoms to do as they please, and would never please to do harm or infringe on others. Unfortunately, it is not, and we can only strive to do our part to keep things peaceful."
