OoC: [sblock]Yeah, I thought it was weird, and I was going to post at some point asking about it... don't worry about it, things happen.[/sblock]

"Ah, yeah, is th' mayor aroun'? I'd like ta have a word with 'im..."
"Sure, he's upstairs. Come on in"

The guard leads you back and upstairs to an office where the mayor sits, going over papers. He looks up and sees you. "Troi! Come on in. How's Sunny doing?"

Helen says "...Yes, the mayor asked me about it this afternoon. Though he couldn't look me in the eye for some reason."
Now, that was strange, thought Oirhandir. Surely he couldn't still be embarrassed that the lovely young flower had been picked from under his very nose, especially since half the town now knew of the upcoming wedding? "He was upset about it in the morning", agreed the elf, "but I don't understand why he would act that way around you later in the day. Why do you think he would act so strangely?"

"I suppose. It always bothered me that peace had to be enforced through violence...I confess I'm not much of a warrior."
"Sometimes violence is the only recourse, but it takes a prave person to look for solutions beyond the violence. With wisdom and compassion, much violence can be avoided years before it happens, for I've seen that most violence is a result of tension built up over time."

Carsis cautiously attempts to clasp Lasair's hand tenderly, allowing her time to avoid it if she wishes, and says "It takes someone special to strive to end violence peacefully. I'm sure you'll find your Miss Lasair."

*Lasair turns and moves over to make sure Sunny is going to be alright--it would be just her luck if she got the groom killed by a random animal.*

"Find my what?" she asks Carsis.

"I don't know, but he just couldn't bring himself to look at me or Fang. It was strange."

Scarlet suppresses a giggle, obvious only to Oirhandir.

Oirhandir has a nagging memory about the Mayor returning to the Sherrif's office in the morning after going to see Hellen...

Mayor
"Troi! Come on in. How's Sunny doing?"

Troi nods. "He's doin' alright, I s'pose. I left 'im in capable hands, so I'm not too worried 'bout 'im."

He pauses for a moment. "Well, ye're prolly wonderin' why I came by, so I'll cut ta th' chase. I'm kinda curious 'bout th' whole thing with Daphnie. I mean... well, fer instance, how'd ya find out 'bout Sunny an' her. I 'member ya said that 'er hair an' dress an' whatnot were askew, an' a few other things, but I'm kinda curious as ta th' particulars."

(OOC Oops, missed a word)

"Find your way Miss Lasair," Carsis says.

Sunny smiles at the attention of Lasair "I'll be fine. I get pig in the stomach all the time. Just not normaly that way." he chuckles at his own joke.

"I don't think so...My way is lost and according to prophecy will never be found, and so it is simply my lot to wander in my futile search until I am no more. There is no other choice."

"Well, a few concerned townsfolks saw the two of them togeather, but said they disapeared in town. And a good friend of mine who runs the Inn across the way saw her sneak out one night, and came to tell me. She returned from the north field, and I put two and two togeather."
