Valdor nods "I understand. I will make sure she is safe."

Oirhandir does not get any positive responses, though several camps mention that some of their people have not returned yet from the chase, so they are unsure.

Oirhandir spots the Sherrif leaving his office, and informs him. "Well, unless they catch him tonight, it sounds like Scarlet needs a bit of rest before I can talk to her. I'll see her tomorow."

Oirhandir suggested that Scarlet was unlikely to have anything of value to add to the story, although the man was welcome to see for himself once she had her rest.

Having finished this errand, it was with troubled countenance that the elven bard returned to Ingus's camp. "I have ill news indeed", he announced as he arrived. "Moments after I bade her good-night, two thugs stole inside Lord Valdor's camp and nearly made off with Scarlet. I was fortunate to hear her cry, as they used this to muffle her scream." With that, he produced the small white cloth that had covered her face from inside the pocket of his cloak, and handed it to Troi. "As I approached to confront them, they dropped her as they would a sack of ill-gotten booty, and she suffered a blow to the head. One of them cut her purse, and they made off into the night." Seeing the look of distress on Elise's face, he added, "She is well now, and carefully guarded by Lord Valdor, although tired and bruised from her ordeal."

He glanced around as his companion's faces registered various shades of anger, disgust, alarm and concern. "I do so hope the rest of you have happier tales of this night."

"I am not surprised at the greed of the evil people of this place, not surprised at all. As for Sunny and myself, we were attacked by a wild beast, and I couldn't calm it with my power because Carsis decided to fight back. Thus, we were almost beaten by the thing."

Elises jaw drops, after her night of slow dancing and quiet coversations, this was just too much.

"Why did it attack you, Lasair?" Curiosity showing across her features

"My guess is that it was mistreated by the local people, poor thing. I'm upset that the poor thing had to get hurt, though..."

(OOC: Oops! I forgot about that  )
