Oirhandir spoke. "Ingus, all sorts of things are afoot. Lasair, Sunny, and a gentleman we met during the festival went for a walk in the woods and were attacked by a wild beast. Troi has found an invisible skulker who travels to the mayor's house, then leaves a trail back to the Freefolk camp and disappears. And as I was walking Scarlet back to Lord Valdor's camp, somebody followed us there from the village. I thought she'd be safe in camp, but I had just barely started to return when I heard her scream. I turned to see two brutes carrying her off. When I approached, they dropped her, cut her purse, and ran off. Lord Valdor is back in his camp tending to her, and Troi has just asked me to take him to the place where she was assaulted. I think that's the whole of the tale, unless you want to hear all the details."

(OOC: How does Oirhandir know it was a boar? Lasair said it was a beast--for all he knows it was an Owlbear or a Displacer Beast or something Lasair doesn't know what a boar is called--for her, it was some strange creature.)

Sunny, realing from taking this all in, sits down. "Maybe it was being mauled by a wild boar, but did I hear Troi say there was someone in Daphnie's room?"

"Hmm...it would seem possible from this evidence, then, that Daphnie has a Freefolk lover and seeks to join them in an escape, and has used Sunny as a convenient front and scapegoat for any of her illicit activity. This is only speculation, though."

Sunny looks quite dejected at that thought.

Troi looks to Lasair, then thoughtfully rubs his chin. "Ya know... that's a possibil'ty. Th' smell in 'er room was th' same one I found at th' camp... but it was pretty strong when I tracked th' scent, an' not so much when I was at th' camp. But yer right, it is somethin' ta look into. I got a good whiff a Daphnie's perfume while I was at th' mayor's house... if we head back ta camp, we might be able ta find someone who smells like 'er, at least a little bit. An' that'd be pretty hard t'explain."
