"That is unlikely to help with what happened to Scarlet", Oirhandir thought, "but if there are two mysteries, it might solve the other." "There is much to do", said the elf as he tried to work out an answer to the riddle. "There is a chance Troi might notice something if he can be shown the precise place that Scarlet was attacked. He might also determine if Daphne has a secret lover by visiting the Freefolk camp. Also, we need to make sure Ingus's wagons are guarded, and I would like enough rest to allow me to regain the magic that I used today. Troi, does either task require haste?"GnomeWorks said:"I got a good whiff a Daphnie's perfume while I was at th' mayor's house... if we head back ta camp, we might be able ta find someone who smells like 'er, at least a little bit. An' that'd be pretty hard t'explain."
OoC: First, I edited both posts to fit.Rystil Arden said:(OOC: Sure--just go up and edit that inI wonder if his thought process would be different if he realised that she encountered what was to her a strange monstrous creature, since I went back and noticed he refers to it as a boar in his thoughts on the last page

Oirhandir
"Troi, does either task require haste?"
"Nay", Oirhandir replied, "the attack on Scarlet occurred at Lord Valdor's camp, in the south fields."GnomeWorks said:"It sounds like, when ya found Scarlet bein' dragged off er whatnot, ya were in th' woods... findin' odd scents in there shouldn't be too much of a problem, since there prolly aren't gonna be a buncha other scents ta mess with it."
Oirhandir
"Nay, the attack on Scarlet occurred at Lord Valdor's camp, in the south fields."
Oirhandir was frustrated, but saw that his own words were the cause of the frustration, not Troi's. "Troi, do you have an idea which attempt might be more urgent? Were it up to me, I'd lead you to the spot in Valdor's camp where it happened, then return here for my watch. You could then spend as much of the evening as you preferred, either trying to pick up her abductor's scent, or trying to pick up Daphne's scent in the Freefolk camp, or both."GnomeWorks said:Troi shrugs. "I'm jus' sayin' that I should be able ta find a trail if there's one ta be found."
